It's funny that you chose the $5 price point since that's the big digital distribution sale happening right now at Direct 2 Drive. On the PC where there is competition digital distribution means great sales every week from Steam, Impulse, D2D, GOG and others. On closed platforms the sales are rare and minimal. And these aren't games that were made as $5 games. Bioshock, Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena, Company of Heroes, Assassin's Creed, World in Conlflict, World of Goo and a lot of other games have been $5 over the past few weeks.

Looks like the PSPgo has some competition. Now with dual nubs!

I'm not sure what prompted NIS America to cut prices on their older stuff, but if other companies do that, I'm all for it. Prinny for 10 bucks? Sure, maybe I can get it on clearance somewhere for cheaper, but at that pricepoint I'll download it.

I grabbed Disgaea for $15. A steal.

It is one week only. I grabbed Disgaea and Badman while they were half price. Already have Disgaea 2 and Prinny on UMD.

That review makes this system sound like quite a nightmare.

I picked up the Go! on release day, i never owned a PSP so i thought this was great. I like the fact i don't have to carry UMD's with me and just have the games stored on the internal memory.

Price wasn't really a factor for me.

You don't have to carry games with you and you can store games on internal memory on a regular PSP.

So unless you just really like the smaller size/shape, there's really nothing to justify the price.

Re: The PSPgo, what a horrible idea.

With the latest version (1.2) of Media Go and updated PSP firmware, the PSP Go suddenly seems more appealing as a portable media player. However as has been mentioned before, the price is out of whack. Also the non-removable battery is a deal killer for me because I really like the flexibility of having the battery charger and swapping batteries.

But as it stands now, with the new firmware (full playlist support and SensMe Channel) my PSP-2000 is going to replace my Zune 80 as my "heavy" media player... and keep the Zune HD as the more portable portable player.

Re: The PSPgo, what a horrible idea.

What's included in the latest version of Media Go?

When I bought my PSP 1000, a few months after it was released, it was myportable media player of choice. Much better than the ipod at that time, there was no iphone, and good screen and sound with earphones.

I had not used Media Go extensively prior to the 1.2 release, so I'm not sure about the improvements over 1.0.

But Media Go in combination with the 6.1 PSP firmware which introduced the SensMe Channel music player and support for true playlists (created in Media Go) really raised the bar for using the PSP for music playback.

I'm a big fan of the Zune software (and really dislike iTunes), but Media Go is far more flexible in managing my media collection than either of those two. True, Media Go's appearance is pretty generic, but I'm more about function over appearance.

That was kind of funny. I liked the end.

And I thought it was hard to see those deconstruction videos. It's so sad to see such a nice new piece of tech being battered like that. Even if it does kind of suck to begin with.

How much you want to bet he tried to take it back to Wal-Mart and was successful.
