scribblenauts anyone?
Ok this game is coming out next week and I have to say I'm very very excited! To me, it's the coolest thing I have seen game-wise in a long time. Anyone else picking this up?
for those that don't know what is or want a better idea what it is about read: http://kotaku.com/5329596/16-attempts-at-scribblenauts |
Re: scribblenauts anyone?
Also, it features both Longcat and Keyboard cat.

Re: scribblenauts anyone?
I was looking forward to it until I read that link. Not sure how much enjoyment I'll get out of that kind of trial-and-error gameplay. Now I'm thinking I'll wait for some reviews to pop up.

Re: scribblenauts anyone?
As I posted in the DS thread, my one concern is that the game is a little counter-intuitive in the sense that to solve puzzles effectively (the de-facto object of the game), you can whip out the super-powered items (like God + Shotgun) over and over, but the more rewarding (at least mentally) way to play is to try different off-the-wall things. I wish there could have been a way to reward your play for being creative rather than just time based, since that runs counter to the game's best strengths.

Re: scribblenauts anyone?
It looks awesome. I can't wait for it and M&L3.

Re: scribblenauts anyone?
I'm really looking forward to it.
I will say this though, I think it'll either end up as a legit candidate for GOTY or it'll end up being one of the biggest disappointments in gaming history.

Sounds good. What's their price going to be?
Looks like I'll probably be cancelling my GS pre-order, as I don't see the rooster hat being worth $15. I'd wear it to work a few times, and then it'd go in the closet forever. |
Re: scribblenauts anyone?
This game got a 10/10 in the latest Nintendo magazine.

Re: scribblenauts anyone?
sweet TRU is just handing GC's. I get Mario and Luigi on Sunday, use that $10 towards Scribblenauts then use that $15 towards the new HALO and that one comes with a $20 GC.

Re: scribblenauts anyone?
The game is awesome and I hate handhelds. I played it last week in Vegas and have been eagerly awaiting next week, and telling customers to reserve a copy!

Re: scribblenauts anyone?
Forget GOTY....Game Of My Life!
My expectations are high. Awesome heads up on the TRU deal! |

I'll be using my $25 GC from Wii Sports Resort on Scribblenauts and like you turn around and use that $15 on ODST. I might use that $20 from ODST on Lego Rock Band. TRU is easily becoming the retailer of the year. |
Re: scribblenauts anyone?
Mike, I'm not sure if that'll work. I have a $30 gc from Batman and I'm expecting the computer to shut me down for trying to buy a $15 game and a $15 gift card with a $30 gift card.
Even considered getting the new M&L game on Sunday and carrying the gcs forward, but even that will end up being less than my $30 on actual product. |
Re: scribblenauts anyone?
It also got a 9.5 in the German Wii magazine.

Re: scribblenauts anyone?
If nothing else, I'll just stock up on my GCs for the B2G1F sale in October and do some later trading to pick up LRB.

Re: scribblenauts anyone?
I don't have a DS, but this game is making me want one. Are there many puzzle-based games for the DS? That's the only thing I'm missing owning only a PS3.

Professor Layton, Puzzle Quest... Hell, there are tons of puzzle games that use the touch screen, much like there are tons on the wii |
