Actually, after watching the 2 vids corporalgregg has up and the description of the 3rd, I think I'll pass. Riding the Hook at least has Patrick on vocals, so that's something.

Re: Rock Band: The Official Thread

Couple questions: When people say they can play expert/hard on whatever instrument, do they mean they can usually finish songs at that difficulty, or that they can usually 5 star songs in that category?

Also, Is FC (full chart?) the same as gold starring a song? Can you GS only in Expert?

1. I assume that is what they primarily play regardless of stars. I am expert, but there are 3 songs or so I love but I have to play on hard because of a crazy solo or something.

2. FC is full combo. That means they don't miss a note at all (some only count it if you also don't strum ho/po). I could be wrong on this.

3. Only on expert...though you can gold star without being perfect.

Re: Rock Band: The Official Thread

I think it probably varies from person to person what they mean when they say what difficulty they can play. For me, it's the level that I'm capable of consistently finishing songs...so expert guitar/bass and hard drums for me (though I am capable of finishing quite a few songs on expert drums).

FC = full combo = hitting all notes and never breaking your note streak (e.g. no over-strumming).

Re: Rock Band: The Official Thread

Ditto for me on simply finishing songs. I consistently 5* songs on Hard and, depending on the song, average a very high 4* or 5* on expert. Hard is more fun in that you don't get as frustrated, but it's more rewarding to play on expert.

The latter, other than vocals, which I declare don't even exist in these games. A few songs on drums are the exception, though (Visions and the like, which I loathe).

Re: Rock Band: The Official Thread

I personally say it to mean the former, If they "can" play on expert I take it to mean they won't fail on expert.

I guess it's to-may-to, to-mah-to

Re: Rock Band: The Official Thread

I'm getting an error message anytime I try to export the Lego Rock Band songs. It says "Can't retrieve information from Xbox Live. Please try again later. Status code: 800700e8"

Anyone else having this problem? Anyone know of a solution?

Edit: Figured out what I was doing wrong. I thought you entered the code from the slip of paper directly into the system when you went to purchase the export. But you actually have to go to a website, enter that code, which generates another code, and you use that code to download a small exporter file. THEN you can go to the music store in the game and download the export. Way to make things simple, guys.

Thanks for the replies. I played with my brother in law and his wife this weekend and noticed that when people mess up, it can throw the other players off too.

Re: Rock Band: The Official Thread

Quick question.

I have GH full band for the Wii, I want to play the RB AC/DC track pack. Can I do this or do I need a orig rockband game to start. If it helps, I have the RB Beatles disc.

Any game, whether RB or GH, that has its own retail release can be played by itself.

The AC/DC pack has dropped to $20...it is a steal.

Does anyone know how to get the 10th member of the entourage for Lego Rock Band. I am stuck on 9.

Thanks,

Re: Rock Band: The Official Thread

You unlock entourage members for, I believe, completing the first song of the first venue of each "vehicle". Then, as you know, you have to purchase them in the Office.

Re: Rock Band: The Official Thread

Have you played literally the first gig in each venue? I mean the first one that appears in the list, not "first" as in "any gig".

Re: Rock Band: The Official Thread

Yeah, it's the single songs in each venue.

When I looked it up the other day I did read that it may be glitched for some requiring you to finish each of the Lego Challenges as well. I didn't have a problem though so YMMV on that one.

Rel, those are NOT organ parts. That's Jack's guitar run through a distortion pedal and an EH POG. They are guitar parts.

You sure? Why then does he play it on an organ live? Time constraints?
