It's "Riad N' The Bedouins" from CD. The FF song is "Lucid Dreams."

Re: Rock Band: The Official Thread

This is odd but last night I decided to go ahead and get "Last Resort" by Papa Roach even though it is not the original vocals. I just figured I would treat it as a live or cover version and suck it up.

It was nowhere in the music store last night. Went on Xbox Live and it is on the marketplace there though. Anyone had that happen to them on any songs with RB? It got me wondering if any songs that have been released been removed? Just curious.

By the way, the Tom Petty tracks kick a lot of ass. I played them both on Expert last night and was doing fine until the final notes on the guitar solo and I failed at around 97%. I was out of star power to get me thru it.

Parts like that usually fuck me up. If they have a ton of fast moving quick notes (don't know what else to call them), is there a certain trick to getting past them besides having super fast fingers? It is the only thing that really fucks me on Expert songs since many have places like those.

Hopefully there's more to that than just somebody playing it on a ghetto blaster.

Weak DLC week, but that past month or so has made up for that.

I asked. He said they were just listening to it and we shouldn't get excited.

@watercoolerfilm He isn't in the office nor is it DLC related. We're just listening to Neil Diamond. Which is great. Neil rules.

Damn! Some 'Cherry, Cherry' or 'Brother Love' would be awesome! Love the Jewish Elvis.

Or "Girl, You'll Be a Woman Soon"* and "Solitary Man". Hell yeah, Rock Band needs some Neil.

*Or even the Urge Overkill version.

Odds for a Rock Band simul-release? http://forum.dvdtalk.com/music-talk/...-3-2009-a.html

Re: Rock Band: The Official Thread

This is easily the best week of DLC I've ever seen. Even the inclusion of Oasis can't take away from the awesomeness of The Jam and Talking Heads. "Crosseyed and Painless" has the potential to be one of the most fun guitar songs in all of RB/GH.

Or how about "Stop Making Sense" as a tie-in with the Blu-ray version of the movie?

Again, when has Harmonix ever released anything that made sense in relation to other media? BTW, where's my Ghostbusters track?

They did a 3-pack each day and date with the Priest and Thin Lizzy live CDs.

You do need fast fingers but only play as fast as what you hear. Press frets with the notes you hear and less what you see coming down the highway.

All those notes can be overwhelming to the eyes so I just play to what I hear and to the rhythm. Also remember to work the HO/PO techniques.

Re: Rock Band: The Official Thread

I'm currently hanging out in my friend's bar in downtown Nashville. A Cinderella cover band is about to start up. My friend said that Tom Keifer is stopping in (he lives here). I'll do my best to ask him about Cinderella in Rock Band.

It'll still be just as awesome when you play it in November. HMX sit on a lot of stuff.
