Glad to see the Audioslave track! I'm always wanting more Cornell as DLC, no matter if it is Audioslave, solo work, or Soundgarden goodness....

I'll be picking up "RE: Your Brains". It should be fun for Halloween parties (or non-Halloween parties, for that matter).

Every time someone posts them on Rock Band forums, they get deleted, so my guess is that it's correct.

There could (and probably will) be more coming next week…

To use a 4 GB SD card with RB2 on Wii, you have to "trick" it by first having a 1 or 2 GB card in the slot when you start RB, then switch to the 4 GB card after it loads.
You can get RB1 and Track Pack songs in RB2 on Wii, but it isn't official. Not sure I can get into details here...

Informative article on the history of HMX.

We got really gloomy. We started to wonder if everything we were trying to do was just a fool's errand. When it came to making music games, we couldn't make any money or even a return for our investors. We were paying the bills, but to go on with the business would have been a departure from the founding premise of the company. It would have been an emotionally and psychologically crushing defeat.
However, right around that time we were contacted by RedOctane, a small company that had some experience with peripherals. They said, 'Hey, we love your games. If we make a guitar controller, will you make the guitar game?'

RockBandAide is now calling that official, but I've seen no other corroboration. Anyway, it's likely to be right and the 6 PAX tracks are $1 each

That's why I didn't see it. The loser they left behind in Boston while everyone else went to PAX didn't "sticky" the new thread so it would be at the top.

Anti-climactic, but I'm down for everything but the PAX pack(just Paul & Storm for me out of that pack).
That site now has a precedent for predictions. Bookmarked.

I'm down for more Coulton. Re: Your Brains is a cool little tune, but I think Code Monkey would be better for Rock Band:

Yes, check off "overscan." By default, they compensate for TVs with overscan so that nothing would get cut off at the edges.
It will still be that way when you first start up the game, but don't worry, the setting will take effect when the main menu comes up.

Re: Rock Band: The Official Thread
I attended HMX's Rock Band Network panel at PAX yesterday, which was pretty awesome. Jonathan Coulton did a live performance of The Future Soon to start things off, and then the HMX guys walked through the process of putting that song into Rock Band in a cooking show style, where most of the real work was already done beforehand and they just show the end results of each step. While it was a very technical, nerdy panel, I enjoyed it and learned quite a bit. At the end of the panel, Coulton performed the song in RB with a few attendees, which was pretty cool.
The coolest part was that they offered to give out free 4-month trial memberships to XNA Creators Club to attendees with a 360 and a hard drive, RB, and a PC on the same network as the 360. My wife and I got in on it, so we get to participate in the RBN beta, do peer review stuff on all the songs there, and play a bunch of new songs. Once we get the email from them, I'll know more about what we're allowed to say and what we aren't.
