Wolfenstein?
Any word on the new game?
It is due out Aug 18 and have not heard much of anything about it.
Wondering if it is worth the pre-order based on name alone.

With the summer drought, and the legacy of Wolfenstein, I am surprised this game has not received more attention. Raven has made some great games with of course Quake 4 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance but also the surprise that was X-Men Wolverine. This ain't no shellshock 2!

I'm worried about the game to be honest. There is at least one video trailer for it you can download on the 360 and I wasn't too impressed with the way the graphics looked.
I downloaded the xbla wolfenstein when it was released and after I finished the first level, an achievement popped up that I have received X amount of in game money that can be used once the real game comes out. Thought that was neat and was definitely unexpected.

Yeah, and I'll throw in my home and car if it outsells Madden 10 in August. Since you know it'll NEVER happen, it seems like a safe bet. What a douche.

They never make good on these bets anyway. Remember that Sony guy who said he'd pay someone $1200 dollars for each PS3 they found in stores when it first came out? And people found plenty of 'em...

Re: Wolfenstein?
I'd like to get it, but first-run-game prices have me leery unless it's a property I know I really like (say, Halo or Uncharted) so I'll probably wait for reviews. Plus I picked up the Xbox Wolfenstein and was kind of underwhelmed, though in fairness I bought it used when it was already kind of a previous-generation game. That dimmed my memories a bit, though I know it shouldn't affect whether this game is good or not.

Re: Wolfenstein?
It could be one of two things.
A:The game developer realized they had a substandard Wolfenstein game on their hands, and so they DEMANDED no early reviews of the game. Nothing pisses off game reviewers more then being told they can't review a game, or not even getting the game to review (so as to not risk negative press) so they just ignore it.
B: No one really cares about Wolfenstein...
I am thinking A

Re: Wolfenstein?
I've almost come to the point where I like playing bad games as much as I do good games. Regardless, looking forward to checking this out. I'm not expecting it to be good, but at that point I hope it's horrible. Nothing worse than mediocre.

Re: Wolfenstein?
I'll probably pick it up when its in half price books for $7.50 or something.....not going to pay full price for this. Very disappointing.
