Ha! No, that's not a requirement for buying a game. The demo just didn't do anything for me.

Trials HD was my favorite XBLA game of last year. I still break it out every now and then, something I rarely do with XBLA games.

Awesome, thanks! Didn't see this on twitter and could've easily missed it. Been meaning to pick up the game. Have a friend who's been begging me to get it and even offered to buy it outright for me, but I told him no, that I knew a sale would come at some point. And here we are! Purchased.

Trials took over the role of Geometry Wars 2 as the game I play a round or two of whenever I turn on my 360. It is brutally difficult, and I've given up on some of the harder levels, but it is so goddamn fun.

I put it right next to Pacman: CE and GW2 as best game on XBLA.

Sold on Trials HD. One of the very few demos I kept downloaded to play every now and again.

...and approximately 30 seconds after buying the game I have the "Leave Nothing in One Piece" achievement.

I ran through the demo again at lunch and ended up buying. Not sure when I'll play it though.

Me too. I've played this one at my friends place, but always put off buying it. Glad we finally got a sale on it.

I remember playing it when it came out and mentally buying it when there's a sale on. Gonna check it out again today first. Anybody else looking at it for some co-op?

So, I finally picked up Final Fight/Magic Sword and I'm enjoying it quite a bit. However...I have a problem which I'll relay to you folks. Hopefully they will fix it. Pause has no purpose outside to save your game (quickly) or exit (or change the screen option). It doesn't actually pause the game. What's worse...if you have a wireless controller and the batteries die, don't expect the game to wait for you. I hope this wasn't done on purpose for some silly arcade game effect (you can't pause an arcade game *babble babble*), it's already bit me in the rear a few times.

I did also retry Tecmo Bowl and sat on the floor as opposed to the couch and it was a better experience. Still couldn't spend the points though. Zombie Apocalypse could be an easy $5 this week, but we'll see.

Well somethings are hopelessly small no matter what barring magnifying glasses & a telescope . I guess the better way to word it would it make enough of a difference for me to purchase it. In this case, it doesn't appear to be a purchase for me.

I recall reading that was exactly the case.... but since you have unlimited continues, it shouldn't really matter right?

Unless you are trying to get the achievement for 18 continues or some of the other goals which is related to another achievement. Especially in the case of your batteries going out, it feels like you are being punished for something that really isn't your fault. It's a nice idea but some gimmicks are best left in the arcades.
