So what if I have 10,000 pts in my account right now...will this free 800 get used up 1st? Or will I have to burn all 10,800 points before my free 800 promo points expire? It's not worth wasting money on all 5 games if the 800pts will be useless and not used first.

Wow...MvC2 is really inscrutable if you've never played it before. I'm gonna pass since I don't really have the time to invest in learning an entirely new fighting system and all those moves and characters. It's awesome for people who were already fans, but I expect that most people who come to it out of the blue will feel really overwhelmed.

There's no achievement for beating him.

The 2nd boss is easier, but you have to be nimble.

I'm guessing they got the one for taking longer than 15 minutes in a level. (That's one right?) It was the same one I got since the douche took me 20 minutes. I have lots of problems playing the game when it's a section with the camera pulled really far back. :(

No, I'm not talking about gamerscore. I mean you only score 10 POINTS for beating him, unless you beat the par time, it seems.

Nope. There's one for 'sploding > 300 times in a level, which would go hand-in-hand with dying a lot and/or spending a lot of time in a level.

Listen to me now and hear me later: The ending to 'Splosion Man is something to behold. Get through this game to see the ending sequence. Holy shit, I haven't laughed that hard in a long time!

I need to go check out my brand new Premium Theme I've unlocked :up:

Also, they flat-out tell you to not bother with Hardcore Mode :lol:

US, July 30, 2009 - The second Xbox Live Summer of Arcade continues next week with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled. It's one of the most anticipated games in the lineup, but some of us have raised an eyebrow over the $15 price tag. The original TMNT arcade game is available on Xbox Live Arcade for $5.

Well, looks like Microsoft and Turtles in Time's publisher Ubisoft have had a change of heart at the last minute and just told IGN they're dropping the price to $10. This is great news for people who only make $10 an hour: they just got out of a half hour of work!

Yesterday, Microsoft announced an incentive to purchase all five Summer of Arcade games ('Splosion Man, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, TMNT: Turtles in Time, Trials HD, and Shadow Complex). Download the whole batch by August 31 and you'll receive a $10 rebate applied to your Xbox Live account.

Wow! That's more great news. Summer of Arcade is now $55 for 5 games, A/R. Ok, y'all talked me into it. Can I still hope for a discount on Trials HD, though? :fc:

Interesting development. I guess the game is back on my radar now. If the demo is good, I might end up getting all 5 games for that discount deal.

Exactly. :lol: Those dudes did an amazing job. Now that you've experienced it, we're planning an interview with the co-founder of Twisted Pixel and 2 of the guys from Slackcircus, which is the production company that did the end game production. I dunno but is Sega is serious about saving Sonic they should just have Twisted Pixel do it. :D

(Okay so that's a bit much but Splosion Man is one of the most fun 2d-ish platformers I've played in ages.)

Rumor: NinjaBee disc compilation releasing this fall

It appears that a disc compilation of NinjaBee's Xbox 360 DLC games is in the works for this fall. The NinjaBee Critic's Choice Collection announcement comes courtesy of a GameFly post which, if history serves us properly, are typically not speculative. The only thing that may be buzzing in our ear as bee-ing iffy is the release date of October 15.

We've contacted NinjaBee for confirmation, but were told that it couldn't provide us any information at this time. Although we're unaware of what games would be on the disc, NinjaBee's titles include: Outpost Kaloki, A Kingdom for Keflings, Cloning Clyde, Band of Bugs and many more. We're leaving the hive door open if the company wants to give us the buzz.

Update: Officially, the company stated it does not comment on rumor and speculation; we were also told to "watch carefully for an upcoming announcement." But, when explaining the company's philosophy, a representative said, "If we were to do something like that, we would want to pack as much as we can onto a disc ... we'd want to offer a good value there."

Good to hear about the price reduction on TMNT. I was in at first, then I was out, now I'm back in.

Woot! For TMNT price drop. Definitely going to do that again now, and Trials looks like it's going to be beautifully frustrating. I can't wait to play that.
