Picked up Maw and finished Shadow Complex with 100% completion today. Yeah, I was kind of an idiot not to buy that game day one. I love the Metroidvania style games, but someone passed on the best one since Symphony of the Night. Game is worth $50 much less $15.

Damn, The Maw is awesome too. Why did I have to be broke when this and Shadow Complex hit? Oh well got to play them eventually and saved some money. No new arcade games this week, but the Borderlands DLC hits and that is where my focus is this week. Well, when I finish up The Maw.

Also there are 3 deleted scenes that are kind of long that only 100 points each that you might want to check out for The Maw.

If I thought the demo of The Maw was boring would I find the game boring as well or does it pickup a bit?

It's pretty much the same as the demo just on a larger scale. You get different abilities and some of the levels get quite large in the area that you have to traverse eating things and clearing paths and such. I certainly don't think it's boring, but can fully recognize how it might not be everybody's cup of tea.

I'm not sure if the demo was just too short for me to get into it or if I find dragging a purple guy around eating things to be boring.

That's the game. Either you like that or you don't. Personally, I think it has some charm and if you have little ones it's a fun game to play with them, but it's nowhere near as good as Twisted Pixel's next XBLA game : 'Splosion Man.

Wanted to grab Battlefield on the 31st but will be out of town. Saw Castle Crashers is 560. Is that a good game? worth the discounted price?

Anyone want to play through Splosion Man multiplayer with me? Given that there are 50 levels, we would probably spread it out over days/weeks/months. I'd want to go for all the cakes too.

DOTW : A Kingdom For The Kefflings - 400 points.

Yet another XBLA deal on a game I already own. There are lots that I don't but you'd never know that by the sales and discounts offered in the past few months.

The novelty of playing as your avatar (the initial draw of this game) has long since worn off, but it's still a fun, casual resource management game.

I guess maybe that just goes to show the quality of the XBLA games that they're including in the Deal of the Week promotion. (Unless you're buying shit games. :lol: ;))

This is very awesome. I think Keflings is a great game and I'm glad it'll get a little boost of attention for those that may have overlooked it before. (Or those that are new to the Xbox since it's come out.) My wife just recently spent a bunch more time with it when they put out a few DLC maps a few weeks ago.

The Playstation blog has announced that Matt Hazard : Blood Bath & Beyond is coming to their system on Thursday 1/7 for $14.99, so it's a pretty safe guess it'll hit XBLA on 1/6 and be 1200 points. It looks like it could be funny at least, maybe a good game as well...

These sales have been great for me because I missed so many good games last year when they first came out. I bought this one today and ended up playing it for 2 hours. A very fun and addictive game. Like how casual and relaxed it is compared to the usual resource games.

Excatly. It's resource management with no time consequence and completely on the player's schedule. Usually those games just put you in a panic trying to balance everything, but with Keflings, you set your own pace. :cool:

I told my daughter when this went on sale or i got cheap points i would pick it up. She loved the demo.

I picked up A Kingdom For The Kefflings and played for an hour, then my game froze and I lost my game save. Becareful and save your game.
