I seen this somewhere this morning, but can't remember which forum I was on, did a search here and didn't find it so....

Target has an endcap with $4.99 Axe products (Shampoo, Shower gel, Deodorant, etc) where each product has 300 MS Point 'code' on it (actually a 6 digit code you text in, and get back a MS redeem code).

It gets better though, the newest issue of Maxim (Aug 09) (which you may be getting from your defunct EGM subscription) has a coupon inside for free (up to $5.49 off) Axe shampoo or conditioner.

Yeah, it's mentioned in the VG deals thread. Not bad if you use that stuff. I got the Maxim today so I'll try that out tomorrow. The shower gel looks nice with a cool scrub brush thing included, but the coupon probably won't work on that; I'll try it out just to be sure.
If someone is disappointed about getting a $5 GC with 1600 points instead of $5 off the card, this might be a good thing to use the GC on.

I used it on the shampoo, didn't know if it would work on the other stuff. My son uses the axe products so I'll give him the shampoo.

I thought about that this morning looking at the ad. Buy the 1600 point card. Get the $5 giftcard, then turn around and buy the $4.99 Axe item with the giftcard getting 1900 points for $20.00.

Now to decide what to get... I think I'm going to get Battlefield 1943, and Miner Dig Deep a community game that Drunken Gamers Radio was talking about in the last episode.

Battlefield is a great online game.

Miner Dig Deep is a pretty fun if simplistic game. Certainly worth the 200 point asking price. One of the few Community Games I purchased. The demo gives you a pretty good feel of it.

They're on an endcap. Bundled together (shampoo + gel, Conditioner + gel, Body wash + scubber). The points code is on a sticker on the bottle.

I didn't see any Axe bottles with the stickers on them, the Bundled and non-bundled one's were sticker-free. I checked the packaging and the endcap and saw nada. :suicide:

Are the stickers accessible to the public or are they under cellophane?

If the former, is it possible someone came and took all the stickers already?

CAG posters were saying that some had seen all the stickers removed from the Axe bottles in their stores. That's worthy of some bad karma right there.

I bought a body wash/scrubber pack at Target on Sunday (along with a 1600 point card) and the sticker was under the cellophane on the body wash. I didn't see any stickers on the outside on any of the available packs.

Great deal though--I buy those scrubber things all the time, and the body wash occasionally, anyway. I think I'm gonna go back and buy my Target out of all that stuff before the promotion expires. I'll be good to go on Axe products until at least 2014 or 15.

South Park Tower Defense? That's pretty interesting. It's not like there is a large amount of Tower Defense games available on XBLA anyway, so I'll definitely give it a shot.

I'll wait and see how it plays. I agree with flashburn, there aren't really many Tower Defense games on XBLA so I don't think it's a big deal. Heck, Plants versus Zombies is a recent Tower Defense game and it kicks all sorts of ass.

I know Grid Defense has been talked about coming over to XBLA for a while now, but I don't know if that is ever actually going to come out.

Played the demo, bought the game, love it! Pure 2D platforming bliss. And you can unlock gamerpics and a full premium theme by playing through the game. Some creative achievements, too.

On Major's show, the game's producer said that it's the first game that (after an update) will feature unlockable Avatar clothes/accessories. Hopefully that's ready on 8/11 with the rest of the dashboard.

It never wasn't. Only one in the SoA, though :(

Tried it and LOOOOOOVVED it! Bought it right away. What a great platformer. I know people were over the moon for N+, but this game kicks that one up and down the block. Scientists hemorrhaging cold cuts never gets old.

It should be a must buy for everyone with XBL capabilities. I've only played 8 or 9 of the levels so far, but I'm already going back and trying to improve my times on them.
