It seems that problems vary from game to game. I played H.E.R.O. (a 2600 game) for the first time today, and the emulation was perfect. I played Adventure (another 2600 game) and it had framerate issues.

For laughs, I also played Kaboom. It is completely unplayable without a paddle.

Tried Gameroom with the new update, it is certainly an improvement. However, among the five games, Gryuss was the only one that did anything for me. I concur with the sticking, but I remember something about that in the arcades too. I might get this one (which would end a long drought) as long as I don't see anything on Rock Band or Lips to get this week.

Deathspank does look awesome, even my wife was laughing at it. FORBIDDEN BACON! But I'll probably wait for either a 4000 point card sale (so I can purchase PQ2 as well) or just a sale on Deathspank. It is really true what they say about $15 games, darn that extra $5! :D

Gyruss is most likely the same port used in the XBLA version. The issues, mainly with the sound, are still present.

Played Keystone Kapers again to see if any of the general Game Room issues were fixed. Nope. Game still stutters randomly, harsh sounds still blast out randomly at times, but now there's the occasional slow down if too many objects are on the screen.

I'm done with Game Room.

Doubtful, the old one ran on a Backbone engine. I'll give it a spin as soon as I can to see how well it plays compared to the real arcade version (which I'm pretty damn familiar with). As for the controls, everyone's description here is accurate as to how the game actually controls.

Really? I wasn't HUGE into it, but it was fun to pop on once in a while. Outside of the license it can't be that cost intensive to run.

Well, no 4000 point sale at the moment, but 1600 point cards are $16.54 again at Amazon. That's a penny a point and you can just buy two or cards (I think). Though I haven't purchased it yet, I've got to assume that Death Spank is worth $12 and I'm comfortable recommending PQ2 at that price.

I don't think you can purchase more than one card. You'll get this message:

We are sorry. This item has limited purchase quantity. Because you have purchased the maximum allowable quantity in the past you cannot buy any more units of this item.

CAGs are saying it's one per month.

Weird, that must be new because on several occasions recently I've just done 2 orders. They even ended up shipping them in the same box :D TWICE!

I think it's great. If you like a Diablo/Torchlight type of game with a sense of humor. I highly recommend atleast giving the demo a shot.

I was thinking about this : Death Spank reminds me of Bard's Tale, an Xbox game that used self-aware humor to break up the repetitiveness of the typical hack & slash. I liked that game a lot and will probably end up buying this one eventually, but it just didn't make sense to me until after I finish Monkey Island 2 with my daughter. I'll get it soon enough though.

I am having a lot of fun with Deathspank right now....I hear the game is around 12 hours long (I am about 4 hours in) and the quality is very much worth the 15 bucks. If you are into these types of games I recommend giving it a shot.

Am I the only one actually depressed that Summer of Arcade is officially upon us? Knowing that the next 5 Wednesdays are already tied up with titles that I'm nearly positive I won't get, especially at $15 each, really has me bummed.

I suppose I could still be surprised by that Castlevania game, but I'm not holding my breath.

I'll be getting Limbo on Wednesday, but that's the only one I see myself buying right away.
