But really, that little game was easily one of my favorite games of last year on PC. I guess you could argue that it should be cheaper since it's been out on other platforms for some time, but for first time buyers it should be awesome

Yeah, I can't wait. I loved the PC demo, but I decided to wait for this version. The new modes would probably make me rebuy anyway.

I just opened up Destination Arcade which I like, somewhat. Anyway, Defense Grid is listed as a Deal of the Week priced at 400, but when I click through, it's priced at 800. [I am still Gold]. I guess it's a glitch of some sort, and I didn't try the other games. I don't know if I'll use DA too much, it seems a little cumbersome and slow and doesn't tell you much about the other games. I don't really care about "what your friends are playing" type stuff.

I finished Limbo...

I loved it, felt it was worth 15 bucks, and would recommend it to anyone. A lot of what I see on xbla pisses me off when it comes to pricing, especially the map packs with MW2 (or the fucking stupid price on Strangleholds map pack) but this is worth 15 bucks to me. I can understand why someone might not feel that way but...

A: A lot of polish and work went into it

B: This does not feel like a free flash game. If it does, please point me to the free flash game that is of this quality, because I want to play it right now...

People keep throwing that criticism around without a fucking clue what they're talking about.

That's the first I've heard of it being compared to a Flash game.

I read a lot of forums, but mostly post here....there have been multiple flash game accusations at xbox.com's forums and I think even cag...

What they said on the CAGcast is that the game has a great look and presentation, but the gameplay itself : the actual puzzle solving and platforming is nothing revolutionary and is pretty reminiscent of much older games. and even flash games can use the same sort of gameplay mechanic.
I can't speak to that as I don't have the full game. But I can see what they're getting at. All three of them felt the game was great and probably not overpriced.

Still when you get a short, artsy game that's priced high and the critics all gush over it, you're going to find a lot of negative backlash from some of the gaming community. I could see that coming from a mile away. The game isn't for everyone.

I got a message in my Facebook inbox as I'm a fan of Behemoth studio. I guess the Behemoth is showing BattleBlock Theater at Comic Con. I'd love to hear some more about that title.
They also have Castle Crashers for the PS3 playable on the floor -- a mere two years after it appeared in the SotA in 2008! Guess that new volleyball mini-game is harder to program than we had thought!

Meh, I think I was the only person here to make the flash game comment and I had no idea it was a common criticism. I stand by my original post though. In terms of gameplay, there's nothing new to this trial-and-error sort of environmental puzzle platformers and it is found in a lot of flash games these days. Granted, it's well executed here and, as I said before, the art direction is superb. I don't necessarily feel ripped off by it, but I am surprised it wasn't an 800-point game and equally surprised that people feel the need to vehemently defend the price point.

That came out on July 3...so obviously to cash in on the Limbo hype and get people talking about the game. Shit, even the character has pure white eye like Limbo.

I know, the game, esp once you get back underground again even has the same sounds...it is weird...about 5 minutes in you think you are in Limbo again...
