The PC version (download) of this game is $12.50 right now.

Thinking about it, I have the Xbox 360 (Limited Edition), already bought the first DLC too, but the mods are always amazing for this game.

Not a bad idea.

Has anybody heard anything about the next DLC? It's supposed to be out this month, but I haven't seen anything with a release date indicating it's still on track.

For those who have downloaded Honest Hearts, do you play as your character with all your gear?

Probably a little late to help you now, you get to use your gear, but you have to "travel light," which means you can only bring 100lbs of stuff with you to Zion.

I did some extensive searching the other day and found no mention of a date.

just finished Honest Hearts an hour ago. I liked it. After I do dead money I should be up to level 40 and ready for round 2 against the Legendary Deathclaw

Thanks atx.

You need to level that much to beat the Legendary Deathclaw? It's all about the weapons, I killed it as a level 20-25...equipped my followers with Anti-Material rifles and rocked it.

Shouldn't Old World Blues come out any day now? It's release date is set at "June 2011"

Boone had the Cobi desert sniper gun (The one in the locked case from sniper camp over looking that river encampant). I had the Y-100 Gauss Rifle.

Finished Honest Hearts today. I liked it, but damn that was short and not worth $9.99. I went through it a 2nd time, main storyline missions only and it took me about 45 minutes.

Honest Hearts didn't impress me either. I liked Dead Money better.

Are you freakin' kidding me? (rhetorical) Damn that's a low price for a quality game (despite the bugs) that came out 9 months ago

Just picked up a copy from BB. I've never played any of the Fallout games before, but have been wanting to give them a shot. At this price, it's a no-brainer. Guess I know what game will be occupying my summer.

You should have picked up Fallout 3...possibly my favorite game of all time.

Oh and a tip: Save ALL THE TIME!

Is the PS3 version also $10?

Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced

yes, all the versions are..

I'm surprised Amazon has not price matched yet, they are usually all up on best buys nuts to pm them out of a sale, usually before the sale even starts.

Agreed, it's a fantastic price for a great game. If I hadn't enjoyed the game so much, I'd be pissed at myself for paying full price on release day, but I feel it was worth every penny even then.

Oh, I would have...if the GOTY Edition was $10. :) I'll definitely pick it up at some point. I used to live in DC, so I'm curious to poke around in it as a post-apocalyptic wasteland (rather than just the humid swamp it is now).

And thanks for the tip. Will do.

I was holding out for a version with all the DLC but does anyone know if that is even planned at all?

I do know that it was cool to get Borderlands GOTY with the DLC at BB this week for 10 bucks. Can't make up my mind on Fallout Vegas since I just got Borderlands even at the good price.

MoviePage 07-04-11 09:20 PM

Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced

All of the DLC hasn't even been released yet, so any GOTY announcement that might happen will likely be months from now.

Picked this up at BB for $9.99 this weekend. Got rid of FO3 pretty fast because I just couldn't get into it, but for $10 I'll give almost anything a try. So far about 2 hours in and I'm thinking it's a keeper...

Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced

So how do you guys play these games? I tried Fallout 3 on PS3 a while back, and didn't make it very far. I was getting really frustrated with the quests. Seems like there were too many ways to solve each quest, and the rewards varied so much depending on how you did it. It got to the point where I was reading the walkthrough of each quest online before I did it, to make sure i got the best reward.

Anyway, picked up New Vegas since it was on sale (PC this time) and just starting to get into it. I'm guessing I'll run into the same problem, though :(

MoviePage 07-05-11 09:21 PM

Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced

If anything, New Vegas has a lot more flexibility than Fallout 3 in the various ways you can solve quests and choose your own adventure, so to speak. It has 4 different possible outcomes/endings, whereas Fallout 3 only had one no matter what you did.

My advice would be: don't sweat it so much, and just go with the flow. Everything will work out in the end no matter which path you choose. This applies to rewards as well as the story itself. If there's a specific part you get hung up on and you're worried about the consequences, look it up online or ask about it here.
