Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced
Looks like "Honest Hearts" is coming out May 17th, "Old World Blues" in June, and then "Lonesome Road" in July.

Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced
Can't wait...although I'll be annoyed if we lose all our equipment and weapons again, ala Dead Money.
|
Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced
Awesome. Although with LA Noire releasing the same day, I won't be downloading this for awhile.
|
Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced
Glad to see the expansions are coming, but I'll be waiting for the GOTY edition before I play them.

Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced
Looks like the most interesting DLC mission is the last one.

Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced
I'll try to wait. Not sure if I will be able do it though.
|
Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced
I kinda wish I had waited for the GOTY edition, because I'm determined to do that more often from now on. But since I already bought Dead Money, and love Fallout, I'll probably get them all on day one.

Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced
Sweet. That looks awesome.

Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced
I was expecting the Burned Man to be a bit more mysterious and fearsome, but I'm curious to see how this plays out anyway.

Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced
Honest Hearts is out today, anybody pick it up yet?

The weather effects are interesting, but does it really add anything to the game? I don't know, instead of day or night you now have the added chance of day rain or night rain. I like the location and potential storyline better than Dead Money. It may be because Zion feels more familiar and less like a nightmare. If you want more Fallout: New Vegas, like I did, download it. If you're on the fence wait for a better review than this. The coolest thing so far, is that now... Spoiler:

Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced
So are there still PS3 crashing issues? I just ordered this for PS3 since I'm sure my 360 is about to RROD yet again and didn't want to get stuck not being able to play it.

Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced
nope, fixed with latest update.
|
Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced
excellent, thanks
|
Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced
I would really like to play this BUT the effin PSN store keeps telling me they are doing maintenance.

Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced
For those who have downloaded Honest Hearts, do you play as your character with all your gear?

Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced
did you install the update?

Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced
I was prompted for a game update when I put the disc in the first time (had a good 20 minutes waiting impatiently for that process to finish up), but I don't recall if there was an update number mentioned. I saw your reference to the 1.05 for PS3 - do you know if I can check my current game version number (or if I can see the patch update)?
This is only the fourth game I've played on the console, so be gentle. Thanks |
Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced
if you were prompted for an update then it should certainly be the most recent. but you can check it from "Game Data" under the "Game" menu. re: the game, I don't know what to tell you. Mine was freezing and stuttering horribly, until the most recent patch, and now its fine. You can check the Bethesda Forum for what others think, I stopped reading there once the fix came out: http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php...tion-3-issues/
You'll probably read about a bunch of wacky "work-arounds" people suggested, but I never did any of that. Just waited for the update. |

Ran it for about six hours last and didn't have as many problems but did notice some choppiness after 4-5 hours in (about the same time as I noticed the problems from my last session). Cold booted the PS3 and it started working great again. General game question ...? I'm around level 15 and it didn't take long to notice that the perk upgrades are only available every other level up. Is that the way this game is really set up or might it have something to do with the difficulty level I'm playing on? |
Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced
good to hear. a reboot after 4-5 hours might be a good idea. I usually play for about 4 at a time.
The every-other level perk is a hard rule. Once the PSN store is back up, the first DLC add-on raises the level max to 35, and thus allows 2 or 3 more perks. |
