Edit: It was only 30, that was a lot easier than I thought. I still don't understand all the rules, but well enough to mostly win at least.
I tried caravan at the beginning of the game and just couldn't figure it out, I didn't try too hard to learn the rules though. This may be one of the last achievements I try.

Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced

I think I've broke the game somehow. I have three active quests with nothing to do for them. "For the Republic 2" directs me to Liz Omalley, who has nothing to say to me anymore. "Don't Tread on the Bear" just warns me about dealing with Yes Man, and "Wild Card Change in Management" leads to nothing either, as I destroyed Yes Man.

WTF. Unless I'm missing something, you shouldn't be able to break the game by anything you do.

Nevermind, figured it out. It is broken, I finally talked to everyone I could think of and after talking to the woman at Hoover Dam the quest continued on.

Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced

i just got my first quest to attack the legion.
Is there any reason to side with them over the NCR?
I am getting tons of quests from the NCR and hardly any from the legion.

And the Legendary Deathclaw is dead!

One other thing is that I had forgotten to talk to Boone once in a while got a pretty cool quest to wipe out a bunch of Legion members at Bitter Spings and then killed everyone at the Legion camp farther down and rescued a family. After the Bitter Springs mission he got some kind of desert armor awared to him.

Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced

I need some help, I am at a part, still pretty early in the main story, but have done TONS of side missions, am level 16 or so, and working on the 2 missions that are involving Cass. The one where I have to bring her to the Silver Rush and the dude kills her, and the one where she wants revenge on the Silver Rush chick and Alice at The caraven Delivery Service. It doesnt seem possible that I can do both, but I made a save, and decided to do it the bloody way, and kill the people at the Silver Rush and Kill Alice and finished Cass's quest, but my relationship with the NCR seems to have suffered obviously. I got a NCR Ranger warning giving me 3 days to raise my relationship with the NCR "Or Else". Did I make a mistake with siding with cass and killing Gloria and Alice? I wasnt able to Break into the safe (or even the room with the safe) cause my lockpicking skill isnt high enough, so I couldnt complete cass's quest without killing everyone to get their keys.

Should I have done things differently?

Buy a silenced .22, I think the gun runners near there sell one, and kill Alice in her office.

Thanks... Figured out a way to get Cass's quest done, and am still able to complete the Birds of a feather one. Since Cass's mission is done, is there any point in letting her live? should i just let the brother Van Graff kill her and complete that misssion? Boone so far seems like a MUCH better companion, but not sure if she is important later on...

Thanks

No, I don't think she serves any additional purpose. I haven't used her since I finished that quest

Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced

I finished the game three different times now trying each different path, save House go with his plan, kill house follow Yes Man's plan, and kill house save Caeser and follow the Legion. Any other major plot arcs to follow worth trying?

The only other major one is to follow the NCR.

Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced

Without major spoilers, can anybody tell me if you can get the House Always Wins Achievement and also get the achievements you get from allying with the New California Republic or Caesar's Legion (I already got the independent Vegas one [Wild Card]) at the same time? Or will I have to play the game four different times?

I don't think you can do Caesars missions and Houses. When you use the chip to enter the vault you have to make a choice.

That's correct. Just make and keep a save file before you make this choice, and then branch off from there. It doesn't take a whole lot of time to power through the remainder of each storyline.

Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced

i just made it to vegas and met up with benny.
There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of side quests in vegas.
Will they come later on?

Am I close to the end?
I'm only lvl 17 and finished all the quests I have outside of vegas.

You've missed a bunch of stuff. I think I was at lvl 27 or 28 before I went to see Benny.

Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced

patch seems like a fail to me. I'm about 40 hours in, and it had frozen twice. Post patch: Froze 3 times in about 4 hours of play, load times between "quick"-travel seem longer (thought it had frozen a couple times), and Medical Mystery is still broken.
