No, I heard that line and I didn't play the iPhone game.
It's just a matter of handling the conversation tree. I couldn't get him to repeat the line for me, though.

I looked it up. The Inferno Armor does give a negotiation bonus, which seems cool. Also, I guess it increases attack power, and something else.
It's almost not worth it selling it on eBay when there's ten million other people doing the same. I'd rather keep it and not use it than sell it for a buck or two after fees.
I probably won't redeem it just yet, maybe hold off and see how it's working for others.
I completed both those missions. I haven't found any new armor yet either. I am still using the Blood Dragon armor.

I think it increases negotiation which so far doesn't seem to matter much for an imported character, plus either run speed or duration not sure which, and adds a bonus to tech and biotics (which I'm a soldier so not too exciting). It looks like Iron Man which is kind of cool, but you can't take off the helmet just like the blood armor. I might use it if I do another run through with a different character type.
I think I'm pretty much using the regular armor since I like the no-helmet look (in spite of the creepy eyes) or I can use the helmet with a see-through face plate, and you can customize the bonuses on it. When I wear the inferno armor, it seems too dumb that everyone recognizes me. How do they know who I am I look like a cylon, or maybe a geck.

I already shelved my Blood Dragon armor for individual pieces. It looked cool while it lasted.
I thought it was stupid how they recognized you as well. Come on, you have a helmet on.

So, I kept playing my finished game, and I found some interesting things about the romances in this game (at least what happens with a male Shepard):

So the general consensus is the armor you get in the game eventually surpasses the bonus armors (CE, Blood Dragon, Terminus and Inferno)?

I've just hit the second disk and haven't found too many pieces of armor yet. Can you ever get a new full set or is it always just chest plates, gloves, etc?

If anyone cares, here's my [female] Shepard, which is an import from ME1.
I held on to her look from the first game because I thought it went really well with her voice actor (who trounces the voice actor for the male Shepard). She's also fairly attractive (as far as videogame characters go anyways), but still has a tough intensity about her and is believable as a soldier who can kick some ass.

I never bothered to change the default settings because I just wanted to get into the game. I didn't even pick a female for the voice acting chops that I learned about later. Not to mention the hot lesbian action.

having a blast with this. have like 3 or 4 more "loyalty" quests. i do agree they dumbed the game down a bit, but the combat is so much more polished. it's like an entirely new game. i love the throw biotic. specifically, that you can curve it around stuff. i've thrown guys through glass in buildings and off bridges with it. fun as hell to watch.

Good lord the character development in this game is awesome. ME1 seemed to have the main storyline drive the story and while characters had parts, there was an overlying force pushing forward so really it didn't matter who was next to you most of the time. With ME2 almost the entire game thus far has been centered around obtaining characters and learning all about them. It's so utterly engrossing.

Just finished it. The last "level" was not as good as the last "level" of the first game, but the last boss was better in ME2, which is not saying much because I always felt the last boss on ME1 sucked...
Mass Effect 2 is absolutely a better game than Mass Effect 1. I loved it. The Vanguard was a blast to play as. I can't wait to play it a second time. This is seriously close to Fallout 3 for me as the best game of this generation. I hope the DLC is as good as Fallout 3's

I mean, I think I did all the side missions...I had 100 percent on every planet, every system...and did all the loyalty missions..but there could be one or two I missed I guess.

I'm not nearly as far as you guys since I haven't had much time to play until now due to work...
Digging the game as I did the first. I don't really like the simplified inventory and character leveling... the larger number of options in the first game made me feel more involved with my character's progression, even if managing weapons was kind of a pain. I'm fine with the revised combat.
I like the matching symbols over the stupid "Simon Says" type of hacking, but the code matching is kind of annoying.
Mineral scanning sucks. I finally spoke with Miranda who suggested the scan upgrade, which should help. Mineral scanning is as tedious as visiting planets before, as is flying your ship around and having to worry about fuel.
