Someone get Z on the horn.

Yeah, we could use him for sure.

I think with Digi, Z and me keeping other Warhawks honest, we might do OK out there.

And we need all the superdouche we can find. We can just call the superdouches our Special Ops.

So I checked out the clan, and I'm apparently the admin...not sure how that happened or when unless somebody sent it to me. I forget who started the clan in the first place, and I guess I'd forgotten how long ago that was, because the only current regulars in the clan are Chew, Flip, Digi and me.

The other names on there:

Murray (guess he played more than I remembered...need to get him back!!!)
CloudVader (just the first month or two, I think)
Ofermod (still no DLC, I'll bet)
EdStein (...remembering wicked headset feedback)
Wiz (still plotting his return)
Eroc (currently in Iraq)
Nxlr8
RockyMtnBrian

I sent clan invites to:

Slider
Cruz
Nic
R2
Ktown
Sean
Lee
Shao
Brian
Hudson

Just to to "Community" -> "Clans" -> "Invitations" to confirm membership in the DVDTALK clan and get a trophy(for joining a clan). We can clan up for Wednesday night, and then pass the Admin rights around for another trophy (for leading a clan).

Flip started the DVDTalk clan on page 11.

Getting all nostalgic. ;)

Finally had my PS3 fixed. Changed the lens and I am back in business!! However, I am rusty as hell so take it easy on me on Warhawk. My work schedule seems to conflict somewhat this Tuesday. Not sure about Wednesday. Gonna try and hone back those skills

I find it's like riding a bike...15-20 minutes in, I'm pretty much back in business.

The only thing in our games that throws me off is when you and/or digi miss a few weeks. I develop bad habits and laziness in general and have to redevelop a healthy sense of caution.

In preparation for Wednesday, I was thinking about a "weapons free" Tuesday...mines, TOWs and base raping allowed, no crazy modes, etc.

I also thought about loading the 5-6 maps I'll load on Wednesday and just cycling through them twice.

Call it practice.

Thoughts?

I'm ok with a one cycle practice, but let's have some "standard Tuesday" stuff with different maps and standard rules for the rest of the night.

Yeah, I want a normal Tuesday Archipelago map at least. No funny business on my map, unless it's coming from me!

I do look forward to going all out douchebag on some randoms on Wednesday though. :D

Good. That means we'll have all three areas covered: offense, defense, douchebag.

So is douchebag equivilent to special teams?

I said earlier that the douchebag squad seemed more "Special Ops" but we can go "Special Teams" instead. Really, the only necessary component is "Special."

Ruh-roh. Hopefully, the end time is accurate.

Joystiq:

The PlayStation Network is getting its oil checked and tires rotated tomorrow, September 21, and will knock several features offline during that time. The regular maintenance is expected to run from 8AM-5PM Pacific (11AM-8PM Eastern; 4PM-2AM BST) and will prevent access to the PSN Store, Home, Account Management. Users "may encounter difficulty while signing in to PSN."
The article also says the store will update today instead.

Cool. I got the game patch over the weekend, so the new trophies were there, and the new areas were there, but if you were to go by, say, a poker table, it would tell you to buy the Liars and Cheats DLC, which of course, was not available yet.

How's this for a Special Ops Douchebag plan: Slider doesn't accept the invite to the DVDTalk Clan, plays on the other team all night, and team-kills to his heart's content?

Holy shit Chew! I didn't know you had it in you!

Plan:

Big open DM Lobby (with mines/TOWs)
A round of Infected with normal rules
No Warhawks Tau Crater TDM
Grinder Vehicular Manslaughter

Everything else is practice for Wednesday:

Supply Chain (or maybe all of Badlands)
Over the Bridges
Acropolis Assault
Valley Battle (or maybe the big Eucadia map)
Spire Shut-In
Communique (or maybe all of Vaporfield)

Also, on the bread/butter maps, I'd like to spend a bit more time coaching and less time playing (i.e. Here's where the mines/binocs are located...here's the best escape route...etc.)

We can fully beat better players if we are even semi-coordinated.

Purely selfish motives: maybe I'll be exposed to less public douchebaggery on defense if we have our own secret double-agent.
