Picked up Fight night round 4 for 360 for $9.98. Heard it's a pretty good, realistic game

I saw that and almost bought it, but then decided I'd never play it with my current backlog. Looks good though. I did get Cars Race-O-Rama for $9.98 because although it looks crappy, I bet my three year old boy will think it's awesome.

Picked up the Band Hero Kit (PS3) today for $44.98 at Target. I've been watching it for quite a while glad it finally dropped, and they also had Guitar Hero Van Halen (360) for $14.98. Have they changed the days they do electronics markdowns? It used to be Monday, but I had stopped by this store Wednesday this week, and these weren't marked down yet.

Re: Target VG Clearance HUGE !!! YMMV

Has anybody's Target re-done the VG section lately? I went in today, and instead of the standard glass cases, there were angled shelves with copies of each game in a plastic case, attached to one of those retracting cables that display cell phones are attached to. I thought it was a pretty sweet idea. You still have to get the employees to get you a copy of the game, but this way, you can look at the games without needing someone to come and open the case for you.

Yeah all ours have switched to that too, and it makes it seem like they carry about 75% less gaming stuff than they did before.

Last time I saw GH Van Halen, it was $29.99. The fact that I heard it sucked, got bad reviews, and of course it's a GH game and not Rock Band will make me pass on it until it's under $5

It's a shame, too, because Van Halen rocks.

Oh and my Target still does markdowns for electronics on Mondays.

Mine has the new cases. The only thing I see with it is it holds less games. My Targets no longer carry any platinum hits now since they don't have space.

Same here. The one I hit up has almost all of the Platinum & Greatest Hits on clearance. I finally picked up Fable 2 & Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection for $9.98 each

The idiot who reorganized the Electronic layout at Target needs to get fired. I never thought I could see something worse that the glass cages, but this new layout takes the cake.

I don't understand the complaint?

You liked the fact you had to get an employee to just look at the games?

Yeah, I don't really see how the new design is worse then the previous.

My local Target also had the new design. It was a shock to see since just last week they had the old design.

Re: Target VG Clearance HUGE !!! YMMV

I just don't understand why Target still maintains that video games are so easy to steal when it takes me five minutes to get into one I've legally purchased.

Why are DVDs and Blu Rays okay to touch? Books and PC games? Makeup? Drugs? All fine. But video games? Under lock and key and you have to buy them at a "special" register.

Add me to the list of complainers.

Well, one of the two Targets I visit the most changed. The other is still the old way.

They have data on which products are stolen the most. It's not really a surprise that video games are a bigger target then the other stuff you mentioned.

Data based on what? Games have been under lock and key at Target since as long as I can remember.

Not sure, maybe games are still being stolen somehow? Retail stores are pretty good about monitoring theft though, I find it hard to believe that pretty much all retail stores have spent money on protecting games.

Fry's doesn't do it. And Best Buy just started doing it in some places.

Not saying that you are wrong though.
