Re: Target VG Clearance HUGE !!! YMMV
I didn't know anything about this sale, until I went into a Super Target to pick up Grey's Anatomy: The Complete Fifth Season w/Bonus Disc. I just happened around a corner, and saw a clearance rack of games. I picked up Sonic The Hedge Hog (PS3) for $4.98. I played the demo, and I liked it. Figured I might as well bite, although I'm sure that most of you will say I shouldn't have. Also, picked up Dead Space (PS3) for $7.98! I read great reviews for this game, so, I can't wait to play it. I wish I would have found Burnout Paradise for $7.98 that some of you have found. Was it on sale for the PS3?

Guitar Hero WT Guitar Bundle 360 finally droped to $22.48. I picked it up on my lunch break. Thankfully there was no sticker on the package. I am sure it would have been sold if not for that.

Hell, if you don't mind RB1 instruments, you can get RB2, RB1, and AC/DC for only $79. Ain't going to get much cheaper than that.

I don't want the bundle. I only want the games. I have a GH:WT guitar, and can't stand the Rock Band guitars, and although the drums are cool, I never really play 'em, so I got rid of 'em.

Re: Target VG Clearance HUGE !!! YMMV
My gripes on the GH guitar (compared to the RB2 Strat) is mainly because of the clicky/noisy strum bar, the smallness of the strum bar, the shorter whammy bar, placement of the back button and the raised (instead of flush) buttons on the neck.
I've gotten where I just use the GH guitar on the old GH games that don't have RB guitar support. And yes, I do have the newer GH:WT guitar.

Re: Target VG Clearance HUGE !!! YMMV
I personally really dislike the buttons on the neck of the RB guitar. They're too big and clunky to be much good for sliding around. It's doable, but it's way easier on the Guitar Hero guitar. You would think that raised buttons would be more difficult for this, but I actually found the RB guitar to be even more difficult to maneuver around on.
I also dislike the noisy strum bar on Guitar Hero, but at the same time, it helps me know when I'm actually 'hitting' something. I can also 'feel' when I'm hitting a note on the GH strum bar as well.
I was able to at first with the RB1 guitar I used to have, but after a bit of use over a month or two, it felt too squishy to really known when I was actually striking a note. Fast parts during songs would end up being a little difficult, because I wasn't precisely sure how far up and down I'd be needing to strum.
I don't find the GH strum bar to actually be that small. I mean, it used to be with GH3 and anything before that, but I find the GH:WT guitar to be a decent enough size. I also find the overall build quality of the GH:WT guitar to be better than the RB one as well (again, the seemingly disappearing 'feel' of when I was striking something).
EDIT:
I'd also like to add that funny enough however, I like Rock Band games better than I do the GH ones at this point. And it's not just because RB has a more satisfying song selection throughout the main part of the game (read: the songs that are included on the disc and not counting the DLC). It's because the FEEL of playing a song and accomplishing something is still very much a part of the experience you SHOULD have in ANY music game with Rock Band. The timing is tight, and the loose timing in GH is really really disappointing... perhaps just as bad as the overall 'filler' song lists that GH is doing nowadays.
And the drums, I just don't need the drums. I never played them. I'm in an apartment so, it's a space filler I don't need.

Re: Target VG Clearance HUGE !!! YMMV
Picked up Boom Blox for the Wii for $14.98 today. Pretty satisfied finding it for that price, since I almost bit a couple of times when it was double that. Still hoping to find Mad World for dirt cheap.
