Don't forget the new target coupon! It's pretty shady but a lot of people on cag and sd seem to be okay with it. The free 1600 points with xbox hardware purchase coupon appears to work on clearance games and misc accessories.

When you say "appears to work", you mean you can talk the cashier into overriding it in the computer to honor it. It's meant to work with a console purchase. Whether you can legitimately talk them into honoring an accessory as "hardware" is YMMV.

I don't think the clearance games need an override though. I am only going by what I've read. I don't plan on using it as I think it's shady as hell. I still don't get why CAG complains about SD when they really aren't that different anymore.

It's on CAG and SD. It should be pretty easy to find on CAG.

The people on cag and sd would happily surrender their first born if it meant saving $5 on a game.

This was how I stocked up on points cards when Watchmen came out. We were planning on going to see this on Christmas so getting free tickets with points cards is an awesome deal.

That movie pack does sound like a good deal. I might pick one or two of those up.

Re: The Official Xbox 360 thread - thread hardest

Some asshat actually bought all 44 Sherlock Holmes packages at the big BB here today. I'm pretty sure the cheapest you could get out with it was $19.99.

That's $880. For what? Taking the company? Selling the bundles on eBay for a small percentage?

I was pretty pissed.

That looks more like a nineteenth century butler with a colostomy bag than Sherlock Holmes.

I picked up two so I'd have a pair of tickets to the movie. I had to take my two boxes off of a pre-bundled 360 package (with sales rep's approval, of course). Not sure if there were others present, but he and I couldn't find any.

Are the Sherlock holmes things all codes? I would gladly paypal someone to pick me up two 1600 point cards and two SH packs if you're already going. Easy since everything can be emailed. Let me know!

That sucks.

With the Watchmen deal last summer my local stores limited it to one per customer.

How do you know?

I went to my store and they told me they were all gone and sold out. I went back two hours later and discovered they didn't know what they were talking about. Found a whole stack in a cabinet in a desk.

Because when they chick radioed back, that's what she was told along with the retelling of the "Are you serious?" story. Guess I still don't know if it's true or not, but I have no reason to disbelieve it either.

So this Sherlock Holmes "deal" is only good if you were going to the movies anyways, right? Or is there some secret detail I don't know about?

Complete pass for me then.

I can always wait until the movie's out on blu. Pretty much every time I go to the theater, there's some idiot there doing something non-constructive, and also, it always looks better at the house anyways.

Maybe there's an exchange program? Get a first born for an unopened game?

My wife used the female code and it is the same outfit either way.

I picked up two cards with the Sherlock Holmes tickets yesterday and gave the Target coupon a shot and it worked as well for two cards. Cashier didn't even blink on that one and I got two clearance games and two points cards for $25.
