Yep, although the term is as old as the island Lesbos, I discovered the use of the term "muff rub" in a gaming sense on the xbox forums. There was a girl bragging in a post about how she likes to "muff rub" players she just killed.

All I could post in reply was... "Awesome".

Can you Teabag in Lost Planet? It's been so long since I played it, that I can't remember.

I did just buy it though to try to play it some... original version... not sure I really understand why they put out a Lost Colonies edition.... weird.

Oooh yeah, you can Teabag/Muff Rub in Lost Planet. I don't do it because I think it's stupid, but I've had it done to me too many times to count.

Lost Planet:Colonies has new game types, maps, weapons, and characters.

But why would they release another version that is incompatible with the original and there is no DLC to make it compatible? Just seems like a huge money grab.

Gamestop's used special of the week is the combo LEGO Indy / Kung-Fu Panda for $14.99. If you have the Edge card, it takes the 10% off before the discount and knocks it down to $11.99.

I know LEGO Indy's not as loved as the Star Wars ones, but it's still pretty fun. Kung Fu Panda should be good for gamerscore enthusiasts like myself.

I think you'll be happy you did. Better to have buyer's remorse on this kind of thing than non-buyer's remorse.

At least the three red lights will match the console.

Re: The Official Xbox 360 thread - thread hardest

Okay, so my friend who offered to sell me her 360 got back to me about the manufacturing date: 10/5/06.

That's not a lot of time left on the warranty, so it would probably be best to pass. Just out of curiosity, about what type of hardware would that date indicate?

Sounds like from Dell a lot of people get the newest models, they'll all be HDMI, and you get a full warranty.
Looks like they have 20% off gaming coupon (Z0WPL1J0CC3W47) that puts the Pro holiday bundle at $240 and the Arcade at $160. It expires in a couple of days and I'm tempted.

That 06' manufacturing date would stop me from buying it. I'd Get the Pro Holiday bundle from Dell, that's a great deal and you'll be getting a newer 360 with a better chipset.

There's a sucker born every minute; don't make it you. Pass on the 2006 model -- that's what my last one was. Not only is the Jasper more reliable, it's much, much quieter and that's a big deal.

Re: The Official Xbox 360 thread - thread hardest

If you go the Dell route you might want to see if they have the Arcade and the Live Starter Kit with the 60GB hard drive in stock instead of the Pro. The only thing you'd be losing out on is the component cable, but it doesn't matter since i think you said you were going HDMI. I picked up the hard drive at Circuit City a couple weeks ago and I got the Arcade system from Dell last week with a 20% off. If you go with the arcade from them you are pretty much going to get a Jasper. My system's lot # was 0902X which meant it was made 2nd week of this year. Plus the page for the Arcade lists the Man. Part # as XGX-00019, which according to one of the pages I saw online said that's the Jasper.

I don't know if this has been mentioned... but if you purchase any xbox live item at Best Buy you get two free tickets to see Watchmen. You could pick up a 1 month Gold subscription for $8 to maximize the value, but I went ahead and got a 1600 point card for 19.99 and then got the free tickets. Seeing as how I would have paid to see the movie anyways, free points for me!

It also comes with a code for an exclusive clip from the movie (and a green Xbox 360 case). I did this yesterday and they had probably 30 of them at the store.

Re: The Official Xbox 360 thread - thread hardest

Well, I finally pulled the trigger and ordered the Pro Holiday Bundle. It came to about $251 after tax.

I came very close to also ordering "Rock Band 2" (w/ the kit) - the only 360 game besides "Dead Rising" and "Beautiful Katamari" that I really, really want - but decided to wait since that'd be another big chunk of change to spend. I'll give it a day or two to think it over - I'm hoping that the 20% coupon applies to that as well (are these normally good for multiple uses?). But then, I may also wait until Target or Best Buy has a deal on it.

That would've been ideal to make sure that I got a Jasper, but unfortunately Dell didn't have the starter kit in stock. (Also, the Arcade was out of stock, too, by the time I went to order). But the two most recent Pro reviewers on its site said they received Jaspers, so I'm crossing my fingers.

And I don't plan on doing much multiplayer stuff, but I may jump on that one month Gold card (or the 1600 point one if I end up getting "Rock Band 2") to get those 2 Watchmen tickets. Thanks for the heads-up!
