Think of it as a 360 for the other room for $70. I'm not sure it's worth $70 for me to be able to play in a second room, but it's worth something.

Argh! I bought my 360 elite on Sunday! I just missed this rebate by two days. How freaking annoying!

Plan to fix this problem:
1: Return your console
2: Buy a new one

Okay, I think I've got it now. Get out a stopwatch or comparable phone app. Start an Arcade game or demo. Exit the game. Start timing from the first time you see the Recent Games tab with the loading 360 image on it until the time you actually see games listed there (from that point your list of Arcade games is instantanious). I tried that four times. All were between 25-30 seconds to pull up that list. Way too long for my taste.

Get out a stopwatch or comparable app. Start timing how fast it takes people to complain about XBL dashboard.

For you pinball fans, it appears that Pinball FX has added a new table with little fanfare like usual. I discovered it by accident.

It's called Earth Defense and is 240 points. I didn't have a whole lot of time to play with it last night but it is a really cool table with lots of ramps, and interesting theme and funny some good "50's aliens invading Earth movie" humor.

Highly recommended!

Goodness, you're a cranky one lately. And who says I'm complaining. I'm absolutely thrilled that it takes a full 30 seconds to see the game content on my hard drive. I think it's AWESOME! I find that loading image of the 360 with the circles coming out stangely fascinating and mesmerizing; it's truly hypnotic. Far superior to the PS3 XMB, where you just instantly see all your downloadable content, select a game and then just go play it. Where's the suspense in that? If anything, I wish that loading screen would last longer -- I mean I know I'll have time to go take a piss while my console searches for my XBLA games, but what if I need to take a dump instead?

It used to take about 30 seconds for my entire games library to pop up on the dashboard. But since I've upgraded to the 120gig hard drive, it doesn't take much more than 5 seconds.
