My migration kit arrived in two days when I upgraded this month but you being in Canada will likely slow things down a bit. And I agree that these things should be packaged with any Elite system.

BTW I had a madcats battery that caused all sorts of connection problems when I put it in the MS made controller. No idea why. I have and official black play and charge w/ controller that only held a charge a couple of times and now doesn't like to be charged at all. I bought a cheap madcatz kit that charges 2 batteries and I think only one of them really works and when the battery is low it gets connections problems. |

Has anyone seen the ad on the dashboard for the free 2 months of live if you buy 12? When I go to that to read the details, it recognizes that I don't have a credit card on file because I'm sane, but it does offer me to pay with a prepaid code.
I just happen to have 2 cards (a 12-month and a 13-month) here that I haven't redeemed yet. Wasn't sure if I was going to use them or gift/sell them. Does anyone know or think that if I use them on that deal I can turn them into 14-month and 15-month cards? |

The deal that the dash has is 14 months for $50. You get a far better deal with any of the usual renewal card deals. I think Amazon has 12 mo for $40 now. Pretty sure that's a better bargain.

Yeah, I'm expiring on 12/22 anyway. It's just a matter of they seem to allow you to use a pre-paid code in conjunction with the deal as well as a credit card. I'll go check now. My luck the promotion will be gone.

Redeemed a 12-month card and it only added that, no bonus 2 :(

Today's XBox Live update:
Gives Live the infrastructure to support the new wireless N adapter slated to release later this year. Facebook, Twitter, LiveFM, & Zune video are still on track to release in November in another update. |

OK the hats and tees are cool because they have actual logos on them but the shoes are just 2 colors there is nothing special about them besides being 2 toned. Boo.

Nowadays, they usually repair it, but there are no guarantees. If it is repaired, it will probably come back 5x as loud as it was before.

^ That's what happened with mine. The noise is to the point where I just want to sell off my pro to get an Arcade unit with HDMI and some piece and quiet.

^ My experience as well. Same unit, loud as a fighter jet. Sold it to an employee of mine along with its original 20 GB HDD ( :lol: ), bought a new Jasper Arcade and swapped in my current 120 GB drive. Barely cost me anything out of pocket.
