I took mine to the local UPS Store and for 10 bucks they packed it up and shipped it for me. I just handed them my 360 and they took it from there. They gave me a tracking number and I was out the door in less than 5 minutes. I got it back in the same box it was shipped in and it was packed very well. Pretty painless.

It's Overlord Day!

Yeah I got my GS call yesterday.

I'm going by TRU after watching Transformers to get it and SW:TFU for $12 thanks to their 60% off deal when you buy Overlord II.

I didn't buy Worms, but I do have the demo downloaded, so maybe there was a weird conflict with those two items. I'll have to delete the demo and try hooking the HD-DVD drive back up. It's just been sitting disconnected next to my system since I had the issue.

Neither TRU nor any of the four local BBs got overlord in today. This angers me. They should brace for a minion pillaging.

Not only did neither of my local TRU's get Overlord 2 in, but both claimed that their shipments had been delayed and no stores would be getting it until next Tuesday. I asked what that meant for the 60% off an additional game and they pretty much said tough luck. Since I have a gift card from the Prototype deal a couple weeks ago, I guess I'll go ahead and order it from their website, but I'm not happy.

Eff that. Here's hoping Best Buy gets them by Saturday so I can use the ad.

Got my Overlord II just now from Gamestop.

FYI, my Toys R Us did get Overlord II in today. From the sounds of it, not many. I called Best Buy too and they had none, but later when I drove by there was a UPS truck there, so maybe it came late in the day.

so, where do you guys get your Xbox Live Points lately? There haven't any sales lately. Since I used all the points I got from Target last year I've been buying points directly from Xbox.
Today I decided to try something new, to be brave. So I went to bing.com and searched for xbox live points. That brought me to ebay and cashback from Microsoft. In ebay I found out that some guys are using classified ads to sell 4000 points cards for $30 cards. I tried my luck, chose one that used PayPal, just to be more sure, and he sent me the code by email in a few minutes. Really fast. I entered the code in Xbox.com, crossing my fingers, and it worked! I inmediately bought another 4000 points from the same user. Same results.
Since it's Xbox Points I don't think they can be stolen, right? I mean, when you buy a card in a B&M store it's activated when you pay for it at the cash register. So are they getting the cards for $20 or something like that? Just curious.

And of course, this is YMMV, be careful, etc., etc.

That's where I bought mine last week. There was a thread on CAG about it. I didn't know Bing(cashback) was offering a discount right now otherwise I would have used it.

I don't think Bing works on classifieds. It has to be a BIN listing with paypal from what I remember. And if I remember correctly, that guy also had a best offer auction listing where he would accept $30 as an offer.

It does all seem a little shady, but, hey, great deal!

This year, I've bought four of the 4000 points off ebay for between $30 and $40. Somebody on CAG posted that they heard that people steal credit cards numbers, buy up a shitload of the cards and then ebay them off at a discount to get cash. No idea if there's any validity to that or not and without any way of knowing, I don't feel bad taking advantage of the deal.

Yeah, I found two guys selling the points cards. Both of them with low feedback, 12 and 2, or something like that. I checked first the one with 12 but he doesn't use PayPal, he's using an online payment system I've never heard of, so I didn't buy from him. I chose the other guy with 2 feedbacks and since he was using Paypal I went through him.

And pinata, just search in Bing for "Xbox Live Points" the first sponsored result is from ebay. Click there and it will show you the classified ads. There's only one guy selling for $30.00. He's from Texas.
