Then about 9 months or a year back i saw that all the videos cost MS points now and it seemed really strange to me.

Yeah, I went through the same. I think I still have some random videos from Modest Mouse and Bad Religion. I was surprised when they cost money later on.

I'm having an issue after today's update. My profile no longer loads by default. I checked and both Auto Sign-Ins are set to on. Its a new console with the built in MU that I added a hard drive to. Here's where it gets really weird though, since I have the profile on the internal memory, for the heck of it I removed the hard drive. When I did that and started up, it loaded my profile right on start up. I put the hard drive back on, and it starts up with no profiles loading. I sign in on my profile and it still shows both checked to sign in. Anyone have any ideas?

Update:
Nevermind, after it doing that since 4 this afternoon it seems to be working again. The last time few times I had it on I made no changes to any settings and this last time it just started up with me signed in.

Right after the update it didn't auto-sign me in either. I didn't think to reboot to see if it was a one shot deal though.

You need help quick. Your gamerscore addiction has killed the brain cells that control good game selection.

I think it's ridiculous everything they charge for on Xbox Live. Do they charge for movie trailers? I wouldn't be surprised...

Any suggestions for where the best deal would be on a bigger hard drive than my current 20gb?

Ebay w/Live.com cashback (currently at 14%, IIRC).

Just a quick search brings up a ton at the $99 mark w/free shipping. Sort by location, since there seems to be a rash of drives coming from Asian countries.

If you don't mind used, Gamestop has the 120gb for $99 (edge card knocks another 10% off)

Just make sure you get the transfer kit from Microsoft or someone else.

And then sell it on eBay for mad money.

I totally failed at my one attempt to sell it on eBay.

But i am about 99% sure that is because i'm clueless and suck at selling things online.

I still have mine and haven't tried to sell it yet. I don't sell on ebay either.

I just used my transfer cable (bought the RE5 Console instead of just upgrading to a 120GB drive). I figured being able to sell that into my final price of the RE5 console once I sell my old Xbox, etc. Figure it is worth $40 or so on eBay. Also the RE5 Theme code fetches atleast $25 it seems. Some folks are crazy.

Am I dreaming or is the red controller that came with my RE5 set lighter than my previous 2 white controllers? If so, I now have a valid excuse for a few of my COD matches last night ;)

Here's the "Deal of the Week" info for Gold Members for this month.

http://gamerscoreblog.com/press/arch..._of_Magog.aspx

April 6 - “Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, Episode One,” for only 800 Microsoft Points – 50 percent off the regular price!

April 13 - “Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced WarfighterŽ 2 Co-op Collection,” Game Add-on for a mere 320 Microsoft Points, a 20 percent discount.

April 20 - “Tiger Woods PGA TOURŽ 09,” “Spyglass Hill Golf Course” Game Add-on for only 400 Microsoft Points, a 33 percent discount.

April 27 - NBA LIVE 365 Subscription Game Add-on for 560 Microsoft Points, a 30 percent discount.
Nothing too exciting. I would maybe pick up Penny Arcade, but I'm still hoping they do some kind of bundle pricing when all of them are out.

Penny Arcade was a pretty fun little rpg. I would easily recommend it at that price.

Will definitely get PA:Ep1 for 800. Awesome. Will nicely fill the gap left by not buying PQ:G

Figures. Apparently my deal searching abilities suck because I would always find out about 120gb deals a couple days after they ended. Anyway I just bit the bullet a few weeks ago and spent the regular price on the 120gb.

I guess i should sell me 20gb drive; but for some reason I want to hang on to my transfer cable.

For anyone that wants a cheap extra wired guitar for the 360. Gamestop is selling Guitar Hero Aerosmith for $9.99 this week and you get the wired GH guitar for free with it. There is also a coupon for an extra 10% off in Game Informer. I usually play these games on PS3, but couldn't pass on this for $9 last night.

9.99?!?! Wow, I might actually have to step foot into Gamestop for the first time in years
Thanks

well, my launch 360 finally bit the dust with a RROD today :(. i bought the extended warranty within the first year, which was extendend by MS for a year, so the warranty was good through 10/09. after a five minute phone call, a coffin is en route (you need to ask for it specifically).

Well, that took a long time to die. Are they really refusing to repair RRoD on launch consoles now without the extended warranty? You'd have a pretty good class-action case there since MS has admitted all launch and early units will fail eventually.
Hope your repair goes smooth. Mine didn't and I had to send it back for a second repair before it started working right. Make sure they send it back to a place you can sign for it -- that turned out to be a nightmare for me.

I found one for $62. I don't qualify for a free transfer cable as my unit is actually an Arcade model, but I do have a memory card. I've transferred all the user-related items to the card and will transfer the games one-by-one.

The seller is only 2 hours away, so hopefully I'll have it by Wednesday. :)
