Nice, Chew. Don't forget some of the save games won't copy but will allow you to 'move' them (in case you get that error message).

Chew 04-06-09 08:03 AM

In addition to that, some items only gave me a "delete" option. Hopefully those are just items that will redownload automatically once the new drive is in place.

Don't forget to use this while your Xbox is on the "Active Downloads" screen to re-download everything in your history: http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/my...seHistory.aspx

Not sure if anyone is interested but Amazon has Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise for $19.97 right now.

I've been waiting for a sub $20 price, so I added it to the 'pile.'

That game is anything but "paradise" compared to the original. Be warned! ;)

Why is that superfro? I know the camera/cards are wonky, but I thought they simplified everything for this one.

I just tore through the DS one and am ready to get back to a big screen for my pinata romancing needs.

The Mrs. liked it at first, but quickly ran into a few issues and has since tried to put up with the game on at least 3-4 occasions, all unsuccessful. The game just goes way too fast. The sours are out of control and you're constantly trying to protect everyone. Additionally, the space fills up way too quickly. I think you're given even less room for pinatas per garden than the first game.

There just seems to be a pace change and the game doesn't really play on your terms anymore. Which, at least for me, was part of the draw of the original. A game that moved at your speed, and was relaxing for the most part. That is not present in the TIP.

Reposted my 20GB Release console for $160 on CL and got a buyer the same day.

Take that out of what I spent for the RE5 Console and I am at $180.

Factor in $100ish for the 120GB HD, $40 for a controller and $50 for RE5 Game it worked out in my favor to upgrade. Not even including a new Jasper console.

:)

Chew 04-08-09 07:53 AM

Got my 120gb yesterday and transfered the items on my memory card (which were transfered from my 20gb HDD) and then redownloaded everything else.

Although it was a bit of a pain to go into every item and select "move", it was a lot less painful than paying ebay prices for that transfer cable.

Everything's working great.

No, we don't. Some employee may be nice enough to do it for free though :)

So, finally I've been selected for a "market research" for a videogame, I passed the interview and I'm going to be in the research study next Wednesday. It will last 2.5 hrs and they will pay me $125 for it. That will start at 7 pm so I will have to watch Lost late that day :(

I don't know the name of the game. I know that's an Xbox 360 game, maybe a multiplatform (PS3, PC, Xbox 360) game based in the phone interview. They asked if I have played several games: Assassins Creed, Death to Rights, GTA, etc. so it must probably it's an action shooter/open world or something like that.

I'd die if it's Bioshock 2! :D
Assassins Creed 2? :)
Or some crappy copy of any of those games :p

And of course, since I would probably will have to sign an NDA there, I won't be able to talk much about it. But I'll ask how much I can share with you about this experience.

You can't "talk" about it. But couldn't you write about it at a completely anonymous website like this one?

Yeah, that's what I was going to say, that I was going to wait to when the game was released and whenever someone complained about something I would say "Oh yeah, I asked them to change that because I didn't liked the other way". :p

Cool :) I've done a few surveys on tentative game art and concepts, not for pay but I've won a few games in drawings.
Milestone time: I just crossed 10k. 10010. New Rally-X on the Namco disk put me over.

I picked up Ninja Blade last night and have enjoyed it quite a bit so far. Anyone else pick that one up yet?

Interesting. I still don't have either of those games despite having quite a few games.

What are the chances of getting a Jasper Elite at this point?

There's a contest going over at Touch Arcade to win some iPod Touch games/apps. If you don't care about the iPod Touch, would you help me win and tell me Master Chief's Call Sign in Halo? Thanks! :D

Is there some way to give someone Xbox Live points? Like go online, buy points, get a code and then give that code to someone? I'm trying to give someone I work with some points as a gift...
