I'm sure your were trying to be funny, however I'd like to clarify his statement. Most rechargable batteries lose a bit of their charge everyday. Within a few weeks of sitting, it is very likely they will have lost all of their charege. The Eneloops and the Rayovac Hybrids hold their charge much better. They can sit for months without losing much juice.

but for those with the MS recharge kit, how long does the battery last and are there indicator lights for when batteries are losing charge?

The controller itself flashes when the batteries are getting low, regardless of battery type.

You're putting too much thought into this.

Agreed  and for the most part, I'd say many people that hang out on this forum are very analytical, and like discussion, etc, but man its even wearing us out... I'm not sure moving the discussion to this thread was a good idea, as many of us check this thread for useful info.

not really. just asking a simple question and wondering about the item. only thread to do it in. i've bought other rechargables, like energizer and don't like the charger for it or the battery life.

It's a battery, some last longer than others. If you don't like rechargeables, then buy regular ones. Or buy ones your familiar with and enjoy it.

well, i am not at all familiar with the XBOX rechargeable and just want to know from people who have it how they like it. i assume many do that frequent this thread.

i would rather have a reliable rechargeable and just drop it in the charger every once and a while and that's it...

I use the MS batteries. It's nice popping them on and/or leaving them on the charger and not messing with AA's. I've never had a problem with battery life like others seem to have.

thanks Michael, seemed to have missed your post.

and to know the controller is running low on battery life, it is the middle X button on the controller that continually blinks?

Yeah but that can also indicate an interruption in signal if I'm not mistaken. You can hit the Guide Buttom (middle X) and at the very top of the pop up window shows a battery status with 3-4 bars.

As mentioned earlier most Ni-MH batteries drain when not being used. I had energizer ones and they would only last a few days before being dead even if the controller was not used. The Eneloop ones can hold their charge for many months on the shelf and last pretty close to alkaline batteries in a 360 or Wii controller.

are these modified controllers on the bay with rapid fire and the pretty pretty lights worth anything in coolness value? anyone have one? do they function and work the same as the regular and no worries as to longevity and having all the buttons work properly?

I went to pick up my order and they had the messenger pad waiting for me as well. Luckily, they did have the correct kits in stock. So after a couple of managers scratching their heads, they took $40 off the price of the full Live kit. So everything worked out in the end. Hopefully others on here got it to work as well.

Dude, try googling "Xbox 360 modified controllers or Xbox 360 rapid fire controllers" for an answer. I think your wearing out a lot of people's patience with all of these questions. There's been hints to stop already. A lot of people check this thread religiously and get irritated when it's just a new post with a question from you that could get answered if you just turned your 360 on and gave it a try.

And no i don't have a rapid fire controller and I hate anyone who does. :)

There's an Internal Corporate Memo from BB HQ telling managers to honor the deal for anyone who got in on it.

well, i am really not trying to tick anyone off and don't know why this is irritating people.

i got questions and thought this was the place for the answers.

nam closed my other which i thought was perfect for this stuff, so now this is my alternative.

don't see the difference of googling such questions when i just think of this place as my #1 resource for all things answerable which is a testament to the incredibleness that you and everyone else shows here.

i can find an answer to a question, sometimes in minutes and it is truly amazing. i've bumped old threads so as to not open new ones. contrary to popular belief i do regard this forum, it's members and it's rules. i may have been a pissant in the beginning and not read fully, but i think i have gotten much better over the years in terms of my complete inanity.

this is the one official, i opened a 2nd which i thought would be ok, but wasn't.

i don't see why it offends, nor am i looking to do that in anyway shape or form. now, you've made me feel self-conscious about it and i don't think that is quite right.

maybe have a thread dedicated to just questions about stuff, if this isn't the place for it? for me, for whoever to not come in here and feel like you are pissing people off because you have 1st timer questions (noob) about stuff i or anyone else doesn't know about. thought this would be it.

Re: The Official Xbox 360 thread - thread hardest

Yeah, closing the original thread was a horrible idea. It was so much easier to ignore. Now, not so much.

A lot of these same questions were asked (and answered) here when the system came out four years ago. An extensive journey through the search archives is in order, perhaps?
