Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
Prong! Wow I never thought I would see the day a band like that ends up in one of these games.

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
Holy Shit! Luscious Jackson! Fan-fucking-tastic! I'm getting a lot next week! :)
The Distillers gives me hope we'll see Spinnerette closer to when the album comes out this summer. Good christ I hope anyway. Spoiler:
|
Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
This is a great week! And The Allman Bros! Again, no "Jessica," but the solo in "Blue Sky" is going to be so sweet.
|
Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
In for Franz and Smooth Criminal - very cool.
|
Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
Nice line-up for the week. I'll be getting the 3-pack, Alien Ant Farm and Midnight Rider.
|
Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
Smooth Criminal for sure, maybe Take Me Out. No thanks on the rest.
|
Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
Smooth Criminal :up::up::up:
This version of Smooth Criminal :down::down: Oh well. In for Franz Ferdinand. |
Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
Take Me Out, maybe Smooth Criminal and Drain the Blood. I like The Banishment up until the singing starts but might get it cause it reminds me of ECW.
As for whole albums I want, there's really only one answer to that: Opeth - Blackwater Park I'll be content with just Bleak though if we can only get one song ever from them. |

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
The Allman Bros songs are always fun to play, bring on Midnight Rider
|
Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
Blue sky sounds like it has some awesome guitar solo.
|
Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
Definitely in for "Smooth Criminal" and "Take Me Out," maybe The Distillers and Luscious Jackson. But I will say that this is an awesome overall selection this week...something for everyone.
Also, I'll rescind my previous statement that Dookie was the only realistic album I'd buy in its entirety because I thought of a couple others last night: Rancid - ...And Out Come The Wolves* Weezer - Blue or Pinkerton At The Drive-In - Relationship Of Command Blink 182 - Dude Ranch or Enema Of The State * Seriously, how have there been zero Rancid songs in Rock Band so far!? Hopefully we'll get a Rancid pack as their new album gets closer. |
Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
Pretty epic week next week! :rock2:
|
Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
My wife got me a points card for Valentine's Day just so I could buy some songs and I haven't found anything worth it up till now. I'm all for Luscious Jackson. :)
|
Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
Smooth Criminal should be a lot of fun.
|
Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
Can't wait for Midnight Rider, looks like a great week.
|
Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
Jane's Addiction - Standing in the Shower. . . Thinking 0 0 0 0 0
Uhh - I don't think this is a zero song. |
Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
Disclaimer... I know it's not the same, BUT, there is (was?) a GHTune someone did of Smooth Criminal. It was pretty solid. Might be worth checking out if anyone here is bored this weekend.

Didn't I say yesterday that everything was up to date except for that? Npeaen didn't have the tiers in his song and I haven't gone into the music store to grab it down.
Sorry for the inconvenience. |

http://bulk.destructoid.com/ul/130543-666.jpg Harmonix and MTV Games Throw Up the Horns and Announce 666 Song Milestone in Rock BandŽ Music Catalog This Was Completely Coincidental, and Totally F***ing Awesome Cambridge, Mass. – April 29th, 2009 – Harmonix, the world’s premier music video game development company, MTV Games, and The Dark Lord Satan today announced that after the release of pioneer alternative rock band Jane's Addiction's 'Nothing's Shocking,' the Rock Band music catalog has achieved the most metal of milestones, hitting a grand total of 666 tracks! “That's a hell of a lot of songs,” stated Alex Rigopulos, President and Co-Founder, Harmonix. “We owe much of the success of the Rock Band franchise to the Dark Lord. We couldn't have done it without you, buddy!" "This is a great day for music fans and gamers alike," said Lucifer, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Hell. "Since its inception, Rock Band has included some of the darkest and most brutal bands of all time, including Megadeth, Judas Priest, Testament and, of course, my personal favorite, The Naked Brothers Band. Now if they'd just get some Iron Maiden masters, I swear I'd never leave the Pit of Everlasting Torment." |

Aw jeez. That quote should get some Christian mothers' panties in a bunch. |
Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
If they are going to make such a big deal of hitting the 666 mark, then they should've done it by releasing some metal.
