I am talking to you "Raining Blood" on GH3! FU!

I hear that. It was smooth sailing through expert bass on GHWT over this last week for me, but then I got to the very last song, "B.Y.O.B.", and crashed and burned about 10% of the way in. That intro is just absurdly-difficult. Normally I'd just forget it, as I hate that song anyway, but that's a hundred-pointer, man. Gotta pass it.

This is probably as much about TT getting a LEGO title out this year as it is Harmonix getting out another RB title.

There've been rumors about Lego Indy 2 coming later this year, along with Lego Harry Potter sometime this year or next.

Same story. I need to try again. What I need is someone to hit buttons while I strum or vice versa. Say, you're close! ;)

This. Unless I'm sorely (pun intended) mistaken.

I'm on my way. Too bad I already manned up and finished off the Galaga achievements, though.

One train of thought I've read is that they're going to try for an E rating on this and keep the song selection more family friendly. If this is the case, then there is a reason for this as a stand-alone title. Further it'll either have no DLC or be limited in what is available. However, the content would be exportable to RB2+.

This is what i imagined. Make it Lego then throw a bunch of the Nickelodeon songs and the "teen" hits onto the thing. It would probably sell like wildfire and be targeting a different audience than the main brand. Heck it might hook the Wii family crowd on the RB label and then attract them to RB2/3 etc.

My wife has loved playing Lego Batman. She will absolutely flip out if there is a Lego Harry Potter.

Add "Montage" and "America, Fuck Yeah!", and you've got a sweet 3-pack.

It probably makes more sense that it's an alternate Cronin vocal track from the original recordings.

The version on their greatest hits, which is the one that gets classic rock radio airplay (ie the one we all know) is a live version. This being the studio version sounds different to us.

They will be releasing a LEGO Prince of Persia next year to come out with the new movie. LEGO Rock Band looks like it could end up being like fun. If nothing else..it'll make someone a lot of money.

Checked out the previews of the Styx remakes and the snippets sounded pretty damn good. Tommy Shaw's voice sounded in fine form and didn't even sound like he had aged that much. It definitely sucks that they aren't the originals but I will have to pick all three of these up.

Not a big fan of REO Speedwagon but Take It On The Run is my favorite song by them which makes me happy. I now Roll With The Changes but never really cared for that song too much. The other one I didn't recognize.

Their combo song sounded pretty lame and generic (again, going by the snippet) and I will likely pass on it.

I forgot they released the whole Chinese Democracy album. I am gonna have to suck it up and spend the 1600 points on it. Guns it's not but it is a great Axle Rose solo album. If you let that keep you away, you are missing a well done and catchy album.

With Lego Rock Band I'm hoping they're planning on adding some new game modes like similar to Unplugged that you can play with a regular controller.

Forget becoming the biggest rock band in the world … become the biggest rock band in the universe! LEGO style and humor take LEGOŽ Rock BandŽ to an all-new level—experience fun for the whole family on a wild journey to rock stardom culminating in the ultimate rock gig that will take you out of this world!

* Songs you know and love: Rock out to everything from current radio hits to past favorites the whole family will enjoy.
* LEGO-themed rock challenges: Play killer riffs to destroy a giant robot, summon a storm, and demolish a skyscraper using the power of rock!
* Enhanced customizer: Don't stop with your avatar, customize your whole entourage! Design the band, roadies, and manager just the way you want.
* Build fame LEGO-style: Collect LEGO bricks after each song to build cooler vehicles and move to new venues.
* LEGO rock den: Buy furniture, decorate the walls and customize your band's hang-out as you climb the ladder to rock success.
* Fun for everyone: Turn down the difficulty with an easier skill set option for budding musicians.
Don't know how much I like bullet point 2. Sounds similar to GH's much-hated battle system. We shall see though.

What I liked best about it is that the RB mix is different (obviously, since HMX has to do their own mixes of each component)....it gives you an opportunity to hear a bunch of stuff that is a little more buried when listening to the actual CD....I really liked hearing some of the guitar playing more upfront and clearer in some sections in a few of the tracks......it made me appreciate how dense and layered the songs on the album are even more!

An easier difficulty than "easy"? What, will there be two notes on the whole chart?

That is pretty strange. From my experience, Beatles: Rock Band would be a better choice for the easier than easy difficulty. Kids, if they're not already into these games, pick it up really quick. My parents on the other hand just couldn't get the hang of it.

So does GH:WT. For guitar & bass, you just strum - no frets. Vocals is all talky - no pitch. Drum is all pedal, I believe.

The Styx/REO pack is fantastic. This is an excellent week for the vocalists, and the drum charts were fun as well. I need to play them a few more times to get a good feel for the drums, though. I noticed a lot of triplets on the Styx songs, and some of them threw me for a loop.
