I know those that are going for singles will probably pass it over, so I have to mention my favorite out of the bunch was Porch. The chart was a blast, so if it wasn't on your list before, check out Shaggy's videos.

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
Porch...great...now it's stuck in my head...
I might just have to break out the mic for this shit...and then put it away when my lungs collapse. These will probably vary from the "official" lyrics, but I must've listened to this song 1000 times. What the fuck is this world coming to you didn't leave a message at least I could've heard your voice one last time Daily minefield this could be my time by you would you hit me woud you hit me All the bills go by, and initiatives are taken up by the middle. There ain't gonna be any middle any more. And the cross I'm bearing home ain't indicative of my place. Left the porch Left the porch Hear my name. Take a good look. This could be the day. Hold my hand. Lie beside me. I just need to say. I could not take just one day of knowing I would not ever touch you Hold you...feel you...in my arms...never agaaaaaaaaaiin. |

Alive, Evenflow, Porch, and Black are better, and I would argue for Once and Oceans. Jeremy might just be the only PJ song I'm sick of. |
Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
Not a chance. I'll never get sick of Jeremy. I can't wait to try it on vocals.
FWIW, Why Go was the only song I didn't 5* for some reason.

This guy has full band videos of all the songs on the album, for anyone interested.

Porch is the one I was most looking forward to
L&O, those videos are posted elsewhere. I know it's hard to imagine that information is kept outside of the first post of the Rock Band thread on DVD Talk but, believe me, it's true. In fact, here's a secret: Spoiler:
Shocking, I know. |
Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
has anyone seen any of the vids yet for the 3 songs you got for getting the BestBuy deal?

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
Porch was the first one I went to this morning. Probably not the wisest if I was looking for performance, but it was still awesome!

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
I'm dying to get home and play SOLAT!
|
Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
^I hate you :( (just kidding...but seriously, why didn't Canada get these 3 tracks!?)

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
how come that porch video has drums on the right? I thought drums always showed up in the center.
(non scrolling lyrics I find quite annoying) |
Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
That was online play. "You" always show up in the center.

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
I was a little iffy about buying the whole album initially - but then after listening to it, I realized I haven't listened to Ten in ages, and it's all queued up now.

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
I listened to my CD the other night and just chose to get the 3 popular tunes. They were the reason I bought the CD so long ago.. the other songs were 'ok'. I sort of wish it was a greatest hits pack (since I thought VS was a stronger album IMO) to include Rear View Mirror, Glorified G, Elderly Woman Behind The Counter in a Small Town, Dissident.

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
Spectacularly awesome! Looking forward to getting a group together to go full band on this.

Vs would be great, as would a few tracks from Vitology.
I'd kill for Vs. and Vitology. I mean it. Actual murder. |
Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
Rearview Mirror is my favorite PJ track. I would gladly pay you today for this track to appear in a year, Harmonix.

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
I don't get to download the album 'til thursday (PS3), but obv I bought the cd / dvd today at Best Buy and have played the free tracks a few times. Alive (Live) is so much more fun to play than the album version from Rock Band 2, and I find it a lot easier to sing as well since I'm much more used to hearing / singing along to various live versions of PJ songs. With literally hundreds of bootlegs, I rarely ever listen to the studio versions, and as every PJ fan knows, they are a much stronger band live than in the studio.
State of Love and Trust (Live) is a blast as well, and Brother is good too, though I don't know the song (with lyrics) that well yet. I wish they would release more live tracks instead of Ten, but no complaints of course for any Pearl Jam they release! Can't wait for thursday! |
