I'm a pretty big PJ fan, and Porch is absolutely my FAVORITE PJ song. I'm glad to hear it's fun to play.

Porch...great...now it's stuck in my head...

I might just have to break out the mic for this shit...and then put it away when my lungs collapse.

These will probably vary from the "official" lyrics, but I must've listened to this song 1000 times.

What the fuck is this world
coming to you didn't
leave a message
at least I
could've heard your voice one last time

Daily minefield this could
be my time by you
would you hit me
woud you hit me

All the bills go by, and
initiatives are taken up
by the middle.
There ain't gonna be any middle any more.
And the cross I'm bearing home
ain't indicative of my place.
Left the porch
Left the porch

Hear my name.
Take a good look.
This could be the day.
Hold my hand.
Lie beside me.
I just need to say.
I could not take
just one day
of knowing I would not ever touch you
Hold you...feel you...in my arms...never agaaaaaaaaaiin.
Such an amazing song!

Jeremy is middle of the pack at best on this album folks.

Alive, Evenflow, Porch, and Black are better, and I would argue for Once and Oceans.

Jeremy might just be the only PJ song I'm sick of.

Not a chance. I'll never get sick of Jeremy. I can't wait to try it on vocals.

FWIW, Why Go was the only song I didn't 5* for some reason.

Porch is the one I was most looking forward to

L&O, those videos are posted elsewhere. I know it's hard to imagine that information is kept outside of the first post of the Rock Band thread on DVD Talk but, believe me, it's true. In fact, here's a secret:

Spoiler:
Shag's post just points to this other website that only holds videos called YouTube

Shocking, I know.

Not that I've seen. I've been looking, and folks have the tracks, but nothing's up on YouTube yet.

Porch was the first one I went to this morning. Probably not the wisest if I was looking for performance, but it was still awesome!

how come that porch video has drums on the right? I thought drums always showed up in the center.

(non scrolling lyrics I find quite annoying)

That was online play. "You" always show up in the center.

really? Dammit! I just thought a guy who is so adamant about having the top billing on infinitely lengthy threads would keep them updated (even when he's at GDC ;))

I was a little iffy about buying the whole album initially - but then after listening to it, I realized I haven't listened to Ten in ages, and it's all queued up now.

Same here. Some of the songs seem really easy or boring on Drums, but the songs themselves are so good, I didn't care. Downloading it now. :)

I listened to my CD the other night and just chose to get the 3 popular tunes. They were the reason I bought the CD so long ago.. the other songs were 'ok'. I sort of wish it was a greatest hits pack (since I thought VS was a stronger album IMO) to include Rear View Mirror, Glorified G, Elderly Woman Behind The Counter in a Small Town, Dissident.

Vs would be great, as would a few tracks from Vitology.

Since this is the first in a two year long reissue of the entire catalog, we can hope.......

I'd kill for Vs. and Vitology. I mean it. Actual murder.

Rearview Mirror is my favorite PJ track. I would gladly pay you today for this track to appear in a year, Harmonix.

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread

I don't get to download the album 'til thursday (PS3), but obv I bought the cd / dvd today at Best Buy and have played the free tracks a few times. Alive (Live) is so much more fun to play than the album version from Rock Band 2, and I find it a lot easier to sing as well since I'm much more used to hearing / singing along to various live versions of PJ songs. With literally hundreds of bootlegs, I rarely ever listen to the studio versions, and as every PJ fan knows, they are a much stronger band live than in the studio.

State of Love and Trust (Live) is a blast as well, and Brother is good too, though I don't know the song (with lyrics) that well yet.

I wish they would release more live tracks instead of Ten, but no complaints of course for any Pearl Jam they release! Can't wait for thursday!
