I agree the piano is very dominant in a couple of the songs, namely the ballads, but each of the songs also has a guitar solo, even Open Arms and Faithfully. Even if we don't get the ballads, I would love to see:
1) Don't Stop Believin' 2) Lights 3) Who's Crying Now 4) Wheel in the Sky 5) Separate Ways (Worlds Apart) 6) Only The Young/LovingTouchingSqueezin/Be Good To Yourself But really, there's a lot of songs I've been shocked that you don't play the "main riff" like "Just What I Needed" |

Nah - I think I just remember you making a reference about people ignoring your posts because your screen name has a French tinge to it :)

I know it's just a pipe dream, but I'd dig some of their deeper tracks - Escape, Rubicon, or Mother, Father maybe?

Are you sure you aren't thinking of "Outside", from Family Values Tour 1999? The cover of "Black" that was released on Family Values Tour 2001 is done by Aaron Lewis (of Staind) solo acoustic....no Durst (thank goodness)....

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
I ended up reading "Aaron Lewis - Black" as "Lewis Black" and thought he was doing a Pearl Jam cover or something.

A non-funny more political Sam Kinison version would be pretty odd!

Not bad superfro. at the flannel shirt. I can honestly say I think that's the first time I've ever seen a black dude wearing one.

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
That was actually a pretty decent cover version...I bet it's lightyears better than having Hoobastank do 3 covers - who thought that was a good idea?
|
Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
i thoroughly enjoyed that Why Go cover.
|
Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
The man is a genius. Glad you guys dug it. :)
And yes....my money would be on it being infinitely better than 3 Hoobastank performances combined. |
Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
I just caught the video for "Gives You Hell" by the All-American Rejects .. I'd love to play this in RB .. especially the crowd-singing part at the end.
|
Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
Agreed. Especially if they brought it in at $0.99 too :D

The original video is supposed to be pretty good. I'm looking forward to it. |

The text is misleading. There was an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT first video shot for JEREMY that never aired (featuring the entire band), in favor of the one that was extremely popular on MTV (with just Vedder and shots of the kid in school and frolicking through the forest).
The original video is supposed to be pretty good. I'm looking forward to it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNO6pAJBCs4 Considering it has been on the internet (and bootleg/fan-made DVDs) for years, I'd hardly call it "never before seen".... |

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
Interesting video. Pretty mundane by comparison. Whoever stepped up and made them to redo it probably made a career defining decision for them.
Damn that video has me pumped. I can't wait to play Jeremy in RB, actually more so on vocals even though I only sing once in a blue moon. I ordered from BB.com so they better get it to my by Tuesday. |

Awesome! Master/Slave is it's own track! Didn't see that coming. I would have thought they would have ignored it.

Totally unrelated to Rock Band, but thanks for posting the recommendation on P.O.S. Checked out some of his stuff online yesterday and picked up Never Better last night. Great album.
Yay on the PJ and yay on the splitting out of Master/Slave. I was wondering how they were going to work it. Can't wait for Tuesday! No mention of the 3 BB tracks is highly annoying. I'm already pissed about jumping on the boat early and preordering from the Ten club because it was more expensive and doesn't have the bonus, but I would've at least gotten over it by being allowed to purchase the songs. I'm sure they're coming, but that whole deal is irritating. :( |
Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
When they annouced Ten was coming it seemed so far away. Now its here! The DLC has been very strong of late.
