need 360 HD...bargain???

Sorry, I did not know where to post this? My nephew got an arcade 360 for XMAS and his mom wants to upgrade with a hard drive. GAMES STOP wants 60bucks for a "used" one!!! I have been trying to get the "refurb" bundle on XBOX.com but it won't accept the "Arcade" SN and console ID. Next, I called 18004myxbox and they told me that I needed to do it thru the website. The only advice was to keep trying!!!

Thanks again,
Rub

Was it a new retail Arcade 360 ($199) or was it a previously used system?

It's a long shot it's still available at your local store, but Circuit City had a refurb 20gb and extra controller for $40 a few weeks ago.

there's a chance that if you got the jasper, then you won't qualify for the hard drive upgrade from xbox. not totally sure on that though.

sounds like microsoft is giving away either a 512 memory card or 20gb refurb harddrive to arcade owners

Has this worked for anybody? I'm on the fence on getting the Arcade and a free hard drive would definitely sweeten the deal.

The HDD isn't free but $29.99 +tax and includes a 3-month Xbox LIVE Gold subscription. The 512MB card is free for Core Xbox360 owners.

My nieces/nephew received an Arcade 360 for Christmas. I did connect it to my internet to get them the NXE but they have no internet at home. I haven't plugged in the console serial number or ID to get them the 20GB HDD.
