Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I had CivIV vanilla, and I picked up the CIV IV pack at Christmas. Definitely a lot easier than going out, finding the expansions and keeping them around. Love Steam.

Gamestop has marked Glory of Heracles down to $15. Guess it didn't sell well for Nintendo. I picked up a copy. Seemed decent for that price.

Awesome. Alpha Centauri was also my favorite. I liked designing my own units and also the little mini-cut scenes when you discovered new technologies.

The Civ IV bundle is so impressive though. I played the base game multiple times (probably easily 25 hours worth). Then i started messing around with the Colonies and it is like a completely different game. I haven't even touched the other expansions since the Colonies was so different and i have yet to really "beat" it.

A heck of a value and has gotten me whipped up for Civ V this fall.

If you don't like dealing with giftcards for whatever reason, you can get Red Dead Redemption for 45.99 shipped from buy.com:

Have you played the first one?

It will be cheaper than $25 everywhere by the time you do. Just wait.

Canadians, heads up.

Just found Batman Arkham Asylum in a Staples Clearance bin for $35. To my knowledge this is cheaper then anywhere else, including US price and used, by about $10-15.

MSRP is 39.99 now. It can easily be found used much cheaper. Unless this was a GOTY edition that you saw.

No, the first release but it is the cheapest I've been able to find it for in Canada so I finally bit the bullet. Most used places are selling it for $40 here

I just bought Ghostbusters (Xbox 360) at Sam's Club for $6.36 (also on Nintendo DS for $8). There were a few copies, located on a "Clearance" endcap.
