They gave me an extra 2% off for choosing slow shipping. So, it was $14.70 plus tax. I had ordered it earlier this week from Best Buy, but it arrived off the hub with scratches and a couple of finger print looking spots. I’m returning it and going to take my chances with Amazon.

These are still all 19.99 at Gamestop, along with the Gamestop exclusive (I think) first set of Street Fighter amiibo cards (not the second set, which are blind booster packs)

Didn't know that. I don't have any luck with buying stuff from Gamestop. I couldn't complete my purchase when they first hit $20 and then they went OOS. I've never been able to successfully purchase anything for in store pickup because a couple of the times that I did they only held it for a few hours then returned my purchase before I had time to pick it up.

The minimum for free shipping is annoying but if you're getting like all the zelda ones or all the street fighter ones you can reach that threshold (and I think they're all available for shipping still). I have no idea what they're going to do going forward because I can't see people buying these for 30 or 40 particularly when these were half off. Like I see these people excited about these blind packs of... 3 cards, and I think that's crazy, at that point I'm not even getting a little statue, just give me an nfc writer.

I should get one of those. Just to keep the amiibos in the packaging. I really like the artwork on the card. But I've probably scanned amiibos into games maybe half a dozen times. And lately it seems like they've basically given up on doing anything great for the in game use of amiibos. I just usually don't bother.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

GameStop has a bunch of amiibo for $5.99, and some of the most recent amiibo — Street Fighter 6, Bananza, etc. — are down to $15.99 (!).

They're moving quickly; a lot of 'em (like Joker) have already sold out.

Fantastic game, I'm glad I paid full price for it to support the devs when it came out. Weekly free Epic game, free until Thursday 8am next week, everyone should get it.

The LE of Daemon X Machina is $49.91 at Amazon right now — less expensive than the standard edition, and, FWIW, the whole game is on the card. Not a Game Key thing.

Underrated game that got mostly ignored. Very fun game. Worth the time.

Minority opinion but I was bored with it and abandoned it. It had promise though.

I liked the five hours I played, but I had other games to play and will go back to it eventually.

To me it felt like a Zelda game and Mario Odyssey had a baby… but with more humor (like Skylanders).

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I feel like it got the "console launch game" bump but it's not something I'd spend all that time on now.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

That's exactly it. It was good for a launch game, but once you're outside the launch window hype, it was pretty 'meh.
