Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
So here's how mine worked out in case anyone else is in the same boat with a $5 RZ cert.
$48 - Horizon Zero Dawn $48 - Zelda: Breath of the Wild $10 - PSN Card $106 - $5 RZ card ====== $101 - $25 Visa deal: ====== $82 after tax and free delivery Not to shabby for two new/unreleased games and a $10 PSN card. Thanks for sharing Matty & Rich. |

You can use Amex cards (or visa, MasterCard, discover or debit cards) with Visa Checkout. It's their version of a secure PayPal Checkout and nothing more.

Thanks....I was hoping to find the Deluxe/SE version of Horizon: Zero Dawn but they only have the normal one. Have to think which way I want to go on this, on the PS Store they have the Deluxe version up for $10 more with some extra goodies worth it.

that I did not know...wow, that's a bit unusual. I'm considering For Honor and Ghost Recon: Wildlands and both of them have disc Deluxe versions.
Here's a link that goes in detail on whats included in the different versions. Doesn't look like anything really worth paying the extra money (just some consumables and skins) especially since you can get the regular version for 20% off at Best Buy or Amazon. |

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
Except it looks like they fixed their mistake from last time. Now your subtotal has to be at least a $100.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
I just placed an order and tried to pay part of the order with a gift card and it made the Visa Checkout discount go away. I decided to just save the gift cards and take the 25 dollar discount despite not really needing to spend any money. At least the 3 items are pre-orders:
Zero Dawn Horizon Doctor Strange 3D Steelbook Ghost Recon Wildlands |

Yeah, like I said above, gift cards can cross the $100 threshold but they don't get discounted.

Mine did. Bought a stream mop for 90. Put a 25 dollar Xbox card in there to get over 100 and I got the discount. Maybe they changed it at some point today.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
Also, if any of the items prices you ordered gets reduced at Best Buy, or if the item has a lower price at a competitors', you can go ahead and do a price match and it won't affect the $25 off promotion. I did the price match after I ordered just to be safe.

When they inevitably lower the price of the Moana steelbook before release, won't that screw up the discount?

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
Hey, that Visa Checkout deal looks like it's not a one-time use thing.
I just used it to order Ghost Recon Wildlands Gold Edition for $60. Seems like a good enough deal to keep live until reviews come in. Hell, I might even order the Mass Effect Andromeda Collector's Edition car-thingy. Probably not, but maybe.... |
Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
I thought people said last time they were canceling orders, including original ones?

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
Two day sale starting today. I've never jumped into the Skylanders games, but I figured for $4 for the game and some figures, we would take a chance on a set. I was also thinking about Guitar Hero for $16, but I don't even play the Rock Band games we have now that much.
