BB also has all three versions of Dishonored 2 on sale and GCU seems to stack as well.

GCU seems to work on all games that weren't listed in Best Buy's Black Friday deals.

That is correct and how it should work. Anything in the ad is exempt, but any other games are discount as usual. I got Battlefront on PS4 for my nephews and it came up with the discount.

Which edition? I am not seeing it(GCU) on the Ultimate Editions but am on the base game.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Why would you get the Standard Edition for 15.99, when you can get the Ultimate (That includes the Season Pass) for $4 more?

You should be the cool uncle who gets them the best version. The Death Star DLC is worth it.

Mean!

I still don't get how they can keep the Season Pass at $50 by itself...

Wouldn't be much point in giving you a UHD with purchase of a system incapable of playing it.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

If anyone is still looking for a PS4, Target has a good secret-ish deal going on, but you have to act today. The Uncharted 4 Slim bundle system is listed as $249.99, like everywhere else. Now, there are no gift cards or bonus games, so this doesn't seem enticing. However, there is a 15% Cartwheel discount on that specific bundle that expires today. Add in 5% if you have Redcard and the system comes to about $201.87! I picked one up last night at this price.

PS4 Target Sale Price = $249.99
15% Cartwheel Discount = - $37.51
Price After Cartwheel = $212.49
5% Redcard discount = $10.62
Price After Redcard (Before Taxes) = $201.87

Note, today is the last day for the Cartwheel discount!!

That didn't stop Best Buy giving out Sausage Party UHD for free when buying a PS4 Pro on release week. Talk about sending the wrong message.

Yep! I gladly took it and will be playing it at some point on a One S that I will buy primarily to play 4k movies.

If anyone is looking for the $99 3DS, Walmart has them both for preorder for mid-December.

Edit: Gone.

I know someone who's been thinking about a PS4 for a while and I thought this could've been it for them because of the extra gift card and Blu-ray, but didn't think about how it's not a Blu-ray, nor that the PS4 (or Pro, for that matter) can play UHD. I still can't believe they didn't go UHD on the Pro. What were they thinking?!

Sony thinking they'll be able to push more standalone UHD players whenever they decide to release them. An incredibly stupid move.

It was a really dumb move and they have trained their talking heads to speak like it was a smart move.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

The PS4 was never billed as an all-in-one entertainment machine like the PS3 was. It is primarily a gaming machine. That's been Sony's messaging since the PS4 was announced, "by gamers for gamers". I've never used my PS4 to watch Blu-rays on.

I guarantee the decision has nothing to do with selling more standalone UHD players, considering the only one they have even announced won't be on sale until next year and is an ES model, so will only be sold through installers. For some reason, Sony doesn't seem to really care about physical media any more.

I've said it before on here, without dual HDMI outputs, the Pro would have been useless for me as a UHD player. I'm not going to upgrade to a 4K capable receiver when I'm perfectly happy with the one I have.

Today and tomorrow only at Target, with 20% off, you can get about 79 dollars off a PS4 pro or about $49 off a 500 GB Xbox One S.
