The problem is that their stock can be limited with how many they are selling online and depending on the item, it can go out of stock quickly and never return until after the sale is over.

And how do you buy games from redbox? I checked their site, and their for sale section is tiny and old compared to that list.

You have to go to each individual Redbox machine and see if it has a special For Sale section. There's no way to search the website or the app.

So.....the Redbox copies...what are we talking about shape wise? Does it have the case w/coverart, are there stickers on the disc, markings etc? I would love to pick up Resident Evil Relevations 2 at $5.99, but if its nothing more than a frisbee, it's not worth my time.

And I wonder if I searched Redbox by just that title, and found a location, I would at least have a chance of it being on sale. I really don't want to go hunting around the city lol.

They probably don't have a little gnome in the box, taking the discs out of those red sleeves, and putting them into real game cases ... so I'm guessing you just get the red sleeve, exactly how you would if you were renting it

The for sale titles are no longer in the rental system, so searching won't help. I tried, believe me.

The two I got today are in mint condition, aside from the barcode sticker on the disc itself (which is standard for all Redbox discs). Discs only.

Sometimes you end up with a junk disc but Redbox customer service has always been very good about refunds when that happens.

So I just went to 5 close by Redboxes looking for a deal. At the fifth one I found MLB and Elder Scrolls Online PS4 for sale. Bought both and .... they were both empty. Someone rented them, peeled the upc sticker off them, and then taped it to the empty red case. Apparently that's all you need to do to fool the machine into thinking you returned it. I fucking hate people.

yeah, I called right away, and they refunded my card, no photos necessary. They had another copy of MLB in the machine, but I decided I didn't want to chance it.

How do those people get away with it? You need a credit card to secure the rental. Unless it's a stolen card.
