Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I dislike the way Best Buy handles the early access. They should at least post a list of what they're allowing early access to so we don't have to sit there between midnight cst and 2AM hoping something gets added. I waited for NBA 2k but that is apparently not part of the early access sale.

Sucks we can't pick them up locally at BB either. Only shipping?

Early access has always been like that for some reason.

Until Dawn is the only thing I have left on my Black Friday shopping list. Got everything else last night. Come on BBY, bring the thunder.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I think Until Dawn is the only game I don't already own that I want for BF. Though since I've completed it, I can wait longer I suppose.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

My order said it would arrive on Wednesday, which is good enough for me. I picked up:

Far Cry 4 - $11.99
Dishonored: Definitive Edition - $11.99
Bloodborne - $15.99
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt w/ Steelbook - $19.99
Splatoon - $27.99

I guess I'll have to wait until Thursday when they put up Borderlands and Until Dawn, since those are the only ones I still want.

Anyone have any thoughts on Project Cars for $15.99?

Probably to leave B&M stock for the actual BF shoppers. Elite shipping is free anyway, right? You just wait longer but don't have to deal with the hassle.

Elite shipping is free. I miss when there was only one tier of elite and we had free expedited shipping on everything. At least the games are still free expedited shipping.

NewEgg (via eBay) is selling a year of PlayStation Plus for $39.99. If there's a better deal on Black Friday/Cyber Monday looming, no one's announced it yet. I just bit.

They charge sales tax? I thought that it wasn't taxable...

Why the Hell is Best Buy cockblocking the 2k games from early access?

Wal Mart is selling 3mo/$10, so the same price for a year with more data entry.

And yes, you should not be charged sales tax on this.

My BB haul so far:

X1:
Gears of War Ultimate

PS4:
God of War 3
Dark Souls 2 Scholars
Mad Max
Witcher 3 w/Steel book

Waiting for Until Dawn. Also, looking to get the Seagate 2TB external drive to throw in to my PS4 and the Sandisk 64 Gig Flash Drive.

LOL, thanks Skillz! Amazon charges tax in IL now so it's basically a wash with Best Buy (plus I'll earn some RZ $).

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Picked up the following:

XO:
Gears of War Ultimate
Batman: Arkham Knight
The Witcher 3
Far Cry 4

Was wanting to pick up Forza 6 and the XO Tomb Raider console today, but I guess they just did not make the cut for the early release.

Also, Target has announced some of their Cyber Monday deals with one of the being the Gears of War console bundle along with a free EA sports game and a free 3-month Live subscription for $300. There will also be a 15% off code that can be used on "virtually everything" according to the press release. Not sure if the code and bundle deal can be combined though.

"virtually everything" = Everything but gaming consoles, alcohol and gift cards (usually)

I'm not elite, I'll have to wait until Friday. All I want is The Witcher 3. And then I'm going to use my PSN credit to get the season pass.

Stupid question: on black Friday can you buy the items online instead of in store?

Yes, you can buy Black Friday items online. Also, for us regular members, there will be deals going up tomorrow and all Black Friday items will be up on Thursday, not Friday.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Best Buy's black friday deals typically go live between 12AM CST and 3AM CST Thursday morning. I usually just stay up until 5AM EST every Thanksgiving.
