I will have to make a run over there to check it out. Moving into a new house in a month that's much bigger than my current one. Need some more firepower than I currently have.

I assume the clearance price won't show up on that site, right?

Edit: I see that the clearance price would show up online. Bummer.

NewEgg is selling $100 Xbox credit for $85 with promo code EMCKKAT37

Not a huge deal, but 15% extra on future deals might be handy, especially with the year-end sale they do.

That's a good deal. I'd jump on it, but I just did another identical deal last month and I'm not going through Xbox credit like I used to now that I almost never buy digital games anymore since they often go free between GwG and PS Plus.

If you have Amazon Prime, all the Lego Dimension games are $69.99 after using the LEGOMOMS coupon code. I've read that the code has been hit or miss for some people, but it worked for me when I tested it.

I joined the Gamer's Club Unlocked the other day! Why I didn't join sooner - I have no idea. Any idea when the next buy 2, get 1 free deal is?

But if I lose his saves on his games, my 11 year old may try to take my life.
You shouldn't have anything to worry about. Once I set up the new system and it went through updates, I installed Destiny and updated it. My save and characters were all there. No issue at all. Didn't check any other games but they should be there too since game saves are synced to the cloud. It even remembered the stuff I pinned. So pretty painless. Other than having to install games again.

I have no traded in my launch day Xbox one, my 250gb Xbox 360 that was collecting dust. Picked up the halo 5 bundle, got the extra controller and assassins creed syndicate for about $145 out the door. It was hoping they'd give me $100 for my PS3 as well. But it was only a 60 go fat unit. Not the 120 go slim unit they were giving the $100 trade in for. Not a bad deal at all since my xb1 is no longer in warranty so now I don't have to worry if it failed.

You are right. It was easy as pie. I was so worried about messing up his saves that I contacted MS before even doing the trade. I never realized that stuff was automatically being saved to the cloud.

So what happens if you are playing and your internet is down? Do the saves go to the hard drive and it just updates to the cloud once you are back on the internet?

In other news, the Elite Controller is a thing of beauty. Very nice and appears to be as good as all the reviews are claiming it to be. I look forward to messing around with the paddles though I can see you maybe hitting them when you don't want to.

Saves are on the hard drive and synced to the cloud. If your internet is down, you should be able to play with the local save and then it will sync to the cloud when the Internet is back. A game that relies on the online servers, like Destiny, I don't think will work if you don't have an internet connection.

I almost went with the Elite bundle for the Elite controller, but it didn't come with a game packed in and I was being game greedy. That's why I went with the Halo 5 bundle. Got 2 games I've been wanting that way and the Halo skinned controller and an extra standard black controller as well.

As much as the game installing sucks, the syncing saves to the cloud is very nice. No more transferring from the old system to the new system for saves, etc. Now its all pretty automatic once you sign into the console with your gamertag details.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

...and I'm in! Halo + Rare Replay + Tomb Raider sold me. I still hate MS for the TR crap. I'll play it and dump it and get the definitive version on PS4 when it hits.

Grabbed the Halo 5 console at Best Buy plus free $50 gift card and free game. I grabbed CoD: BLOPS3. I'm not a fan of CoD but love Zombie mode. I figured that had the most resale value if I didn't want to keep it.

I also toyed with grabbing the Elite, but I have the Halo Reach 360 and loved the design of this one. They'll go great together. And yeah, I'd rather have the game included than pay a ridiculous amount for a controller. Faster boot times would be okay, but I'm not jonesing so bad when I boot up a system that :20 seconds is gonna break me.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I think getting the console at BB is the better deal if you have GCU. That way you can use the $50 towards another game and get the discount.

If you have the Amazon PRME NOW app The Order 1886 is $19.96. Assassin's Creed: Unity is $14.96, and Tomb Raider Definitive Edition is $19.99.

EDIT - For the PS4.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Traded in my Xbone today at Gamestop and got the Elite one.
They gave me another $25 for my extra controller, which I don't need anymore especially since I got another one free with the system today. Plus $5 for the MS headset, which came with the console but I'll take it. So all in all $280 in credit and considering I wanted the Elite controller anyway it seemed like a no brainer.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Target is running a buy two get one free promotion this week. Pretty decent deal if there's three games you want as it basically works out to about $40 each. I might try to get in on it but not sure if there's three games I'm really wanting.

You can always buy 3 and return the ones you don't want. They will ring up as $40 each and will return individually for the same amount.

I'm surprised they let that slide. I probably wouldn't do that myself as I'd feel sort of wrong about it. I have one in mind I wouldn't mind getting and a couple others I'm on the fence about.

I did that recently for Halloween costumes. They were buy one get one free. I have 3 kids. I didn't need a 4th costume, but I bought 4 costumes and returned one so they were all half price.

It works out about the same for them, and if you return the game on a second trip they not only got you in the store the first time, they got you to return which is considered a mild win.

The Target ad is up asome well. The only thing worth posting is Guitar Hero Live for $60 (if that tells you anything). More of the same stuff like GameStop.
