Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Does anyone know if there is going to be a physical release of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas on X-Box 360? It looks like Amazon has a listing for it under a 6/30 release date. Mistake?

I couldn't find it on Amazon. Are you aware the HD digital version came out on the 360? It was something like $3.50 when it was released so you may want to wait for another sale.

Order Rare Replay from the Microsoft Store, get a $10 xbox gift card.

http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/...ctID.319791300

EDIT: I guess that applies to any preorder.

It's currently $3.74 for Gold members right now.

I'm choosy with what games I buy digitally vs. getting a deal, but something like Rare Replay screams digital. Who wants to go grab a disc to play a few rounds of RC Pro Am before jumping into something else?

I agree with this 100%. Wait for the next sale on Xbox Points cards, buy an extra $30 credit, avoid sales tax and the difference in cost is negligible -- a few bucks at most. Best Buy has had several sales of 10% off. So that's like $27 for a digital copy vs $32 for a physical copy + $10 in Points.

I've read that Xbox Rewards members can get $15 in Rewards credits instead of the $10 card. That makes the physical release a little more tempting, but I still lean digital on this one.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Yeah, I made that mistake with Trials Fusion on PS4. Picked up the disc version on clearance at Target for $10 and haven't even popped it in yet. The perfect game to play 15 - 20 mins at a time, but don't want to get off the couch to put the disc in.

Same $10 Gift Card or $15 Rewards Credit for XBL Rewards members applies for any preorder physical game including the $19.99 physical copy of Wolfenstein : The Old Blood. For $5 + tax, I'm certainly ordering that one.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Yeah, I held off on Rare Replay thinking it would be better digital too. Kind of tempted on Gears of War Ultimate, but i'm not sure if it's worth it.

I bought Forza Horizon 2 digitally because I knew it'd be a game I played between games.

Alien Isolation is $13 on Gamefly. That's a pretty great price for that game (it was $20 maybe 7 weeks ago on the same site, so it might fall lower, but I bit now).

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

If the public beta is anything to judge off, if you want a 1080p60, floaty version of Gears, that's your game.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Maybe not at $40, but at a discount the game seems definitely worth it to revisit IMO. Per the video there are 5 new chapters being added to the game, so I am definitely tempted to get it and see it all over again. That and I believe it gives you access to the Beta for Gears 4.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I've played the beta and didn't think there were many issues, but I care more about revisiting a better looking version of the campaign anyway.

The $15 in credits appeared to be a holiday thing only, looking now there is no mention of it and based on a chat I just had with a rep they said it was only $10 now for everyone. Would be happy to be wrong though as that would be sweet for the Rare collection. Otherwise for now I'll just get is at Best Buy for $24.
