Also, Target has a Ubisoft B1G1F sale next week for:

Amazon's price on Metro Redux dropped to $25 from $38 yesterday (when I was reading about in one of these threads and was intrigued enough to add it to my cart). Both Xbone and PS4.

This looks like it might be a decent deal: 8 issues of Kill Screen and two steam codes for $15. Is that a good mag?

Target has a cartwheel for the PS4, 10% off, when combined with the red card 5%, brings the system down to $340.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
Wow at that XO deal.
Two controllers and three solid games for $350 makes XO (sort of) cheaper than a WiiU, provided you think an extra controller and an extra game are worth more than $50.
If you play mostly multiplats, as most people do, and don't mind missing out on a bit of resolution, that's just a crazy deal, especially for this time of year.
Edit: Seriously, drop the price on WiiU, so I can buy one.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
Apparently, they're frequently (always?) refurbs in name only...unopened, returned stock that Nintendo repackages and resells. They don't even have the microscratches that basically anything with even the most mild use has if you look closely enough. If not for the "refurbished" packaging that Nintendo uses for these (and the lack of charging cradle), they are completely indistinguishable from a brand new retail release. I bought one for my kid sister for Christmas, and it looked absolutely brand new to me. That's been the general sentiment on a lot of the gaming forums I read too. You get a 12 month warranty too, so there's no rolling-of-the-dice at all.

Some good deals at Target starting on Sunday:
PS4 bundle - comes with Sony Silver headset and game ($109.98 value). It doesn't mention what game, but it also mentions it includes a digital copy of TLOU, so I'm guessing it's in addition to that.
XB1 w/ $35 Target gift card for $349.
30% - 70% off of select clearance video games. I wonder if this is something similar to what they did a couple months ago with the 50% off sale.

Sony has held pretty firmly to $399 but all kinds of great bundles have been popping up, and MS's aggressive move to $349 without Kinect along with even more bundled stuff has them in the fight, at least in the US and UK.
Nintendo? Still clinging to $299 like they live in a vacuum. Thx for tips about refurbs fellas, but if Nintendo can be stubborn, so can I. I waited for great deals on N64 and GCN, and I'll do the same for WiiU and catch all of those great Nintendo games (they're mostly offline anyway) at the end of the generation.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
It sure looks like Nintendo is dragging their heels into the ground with the Wii U's current price tag, and I'm not sure if that'll change anytime soon.
In a way, I get it. Pretty much everybody wants an Xbox One and/or a PS4, but many are turned off by the price. As much as I love mine, I don't think there's anything close to that pent-up demand with the Wii U. If Nintendo were to lower the price, there'd undoubtedly be a nice spike, but it'd also likely be fairly brief before leveling out to more or less where it has been.
I'm expecting a modest price drop (and am a little surprised it's not down to, say, $279 already), but I get the sense that Nintendo's just going to try to ride out the rest of this generation instead of fighting for market share. Protect their margins as much as they can, cater to the existing userbase (as tremendous as the current slate looks, none of them -- not even Zelda -- are going to move consoles the way Smash Bros. or Mario Kart would), build on the existing base as much as they can without opening their corporate wallet all that much, and try not to make the same mistakes the next time around.

Very nice deal you got matty. I might spring for a bundle at $200 to replace the Wii in our Family Room but not for more than that.

I thought it was going to replace our Wii as well until I found out it didn't play GameCube games. I still need to finish Eternal Darkness one of these days dammit!
