Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
GCU is the best deal in gaming to come along in some time at the 30 dollar rate.

Don't forget that if you play through a game somewhat quickly, you will be able to trade it in for $38-44 in credit. Rinse and repeat. :)

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
So for those of you who are getting the GCU deal, what is the game you will buy with it? Barring any sales, I will get The Last of Us Remastered or Need for Speed Rivals Complete.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
I think I'm being cornered into getting Sunset Overdrive. I'm not super-excited for that game, but it's coming out that week and has a $10 Reward Zone credit. I figure if I don't love it, I could just trade it back in a couple of weeks later and still break even or make a couple of bucks. Plus there's that 99 cent hat as well. Wish I had waited on Super Smash Brothers 3DS though,

Back on topic, I assume this GCU deal will stack on top of my current sub? |
Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
Yup. Folks on CAG are already good until 2020. I'm "only" good for another 23 months, so might as well re-up at this awesome rate. NO WAY anyone regrets this purchase *
* Okay, there is one way : If Best Buy goes out of business. I really hope that doesn't happen. |
Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
I'm started to believe they will be out of business in the not too distant future. I have always been a huge supporter of theirs, but even I am tired of their bullshit. Case in point, yesterday I go in to buy a CD that I know they have on hand, yet it is nowhere to be found in the store. Happens all the time with newly released stuff that there is no excuse for it not being out on the floor. I have started taking my business elsewhere more and more.

Where can you check to see when your subscription runs out?

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
So does it automatically add a year if you buy it on an account that's already activated, or do you have to jump through hoops?
|
Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
It says that my subscription runs out a year before it should. They better get this corrected.
|
Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
well, if this shit will stack, i'm in for Sunset Overdrive. I'll buy that w/ the current discount, get the $10 preorder credit, and then add the $30 GCU sub to extend my current one. That'll put me through to 2018, which is plenty of time.

I'll definitely bite on this GCU deal. If Sunset Overdrive or Lords of the Fallen turn out to be terrible, then I'll probably get Diablo 3. There's a few games on my list I haven't bought yet, so it shouldn't be hard to find something. |

It's not very intuitive. Sign into My Best Buy. Then go to Rewards > Overview. It should be on the middle right side next to the Gamers Club unlocked logo.

Cool, thanks. Not sure how I'm good through Feb 2016, but I'll take it. Maybe they extended it once their magazine subscription ran out?

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
Is there a link to buying the GCU card anywhere? Or is this in store only?

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
Destiny Limited Edition for PS4 is going to be a lightning deal today at 12pm CST. I'm guessing $85.

Do you have to sign up for GCU in store?
