I'm down for that, I was going to buy Beyond: Two Souls anyway. I remember when Amazon gave good prices.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
They also have a DS4 deal
Trade In $30, Get $ 30 Bonus Credit Toward a Dualshock 4 Controller http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.htm...cId=1001420741 |
Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
I'm in on that deal. They refused to take my pristine Sony Wireless Heatset controller in box as "Good" condition because I lost the single-page instruction sheet. They were going to give me like $11 for "Acceptable" condition. Now that "acceptable" headset is worth $29.41, so yeah, I'll trade it (and one crappy game) for a new DS4, sure.

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen is $19.99 at the Capcom store and comes with some free bobblehead:
http://shop.capcom.com/store/capcomu...-Xbox-360.html Shipping was free for me, but I don't know how long that will last (doesn't appear to be free shipping on all games). |

I'm sure this is very YMMV, but a local Target had roughly ten copies of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance for the 3DS for $10.06. They were all marked Online Item.

Probably a stupid question, but if I have a 360 and an Xbox One, and I want to play COD on each system, do I need to buy both versions, or will the Xbox One version suffice for both?
On Xbox One, publisher Activision will sell a special dual-licensed digital version of Call of Duty: Ghosts at participating retailers for $70. This will come with download codes for the shooter for both Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Alternatively, players can purchase Call of Duty: Ghosts for Xbox 360 through the Xbox Live Game Store and then later upgrade to the Xbox One version — using the same account — for $10 until March 31. GameStop: Members of GameStop’s premium PowerUp Rewards program can trade in the Xbox 360 copy and get the Xbox One version for $10. Amazon: Through Dec. 31, or while supplies last, Amazon will offer gamers that trade in Call of Duty: Ghosts for Xbox 360 a $25 credit toward the Xbox One installment in addition to the $25 trade-in value. This gives you a total of $50 that you can put toward Ghosts. Best Buy: Gamers that purchase Ghosts from Best Buy will get a $10 coupon toward the Xbox One release. Players can then trade in the Xbox 360 version for $40. Microsoft Store: Through Dec. 31, trade in the Xbox 360 version to get the Xbox One Call of Duty: Ghosts for $10. GameStop (Europe): GameStop in Europe is offering a reduced (but unspecified) upgrade fee for those that want to trade in the Xbox 360 version for the Xbox One version. Game (U.K.): Get £40 in trade-in value for the Xbox 360 Ghosts when trading for the Xbox One release. |
Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
Thanks for that, Adam.
Looks like I'll be going the digital route since the 360 will be in my son's room and he'll want to play. |
Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
I'm still wondering when those dual-purchase digital packs will be available for pre-order. I'd like to buy it at Best Buy so I can get $10 back (presumably) as well as any pre-order bonus they offer.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
Can someone playing on the XBone version play against someone playing on the 360 version?
|
Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
$70 for a digital copy of both version of the game seems like a much better deal than trading in the hard copy for another hard copy. Or am I missing something here?
|
Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
There is no cross platform play. That depends on if you plan on selling the hard copy later on or not. If you don't plan on it then the two digital copies would be the best deal. I think the PS4 deal is the best one, you buy it on PS3 and it comes with a code to get it for $10 on PS4 for a limited time.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
Assuming you are buying a next gen console at launch, you have no need for the older version if you are waiting until Black Friday to buy them, though.
Battlefield being half off is the exception. $30 for this gen + $10upgrade for next gen is a decent discount for waiting. |
Re: The Video Game Deals Thread
Well, in the case of the PS3 versions, you end up getting the games on both consoles for less than just the PS4 price. My best friend wants me to get BF4 for the 360, but since I'd have to trade it in to Game Stop before the end of the year to get the XO version for $10 more, I'm not sure it'll really be worth it for me.
