Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I'm somewhere in the middle. I bought 11 codes using a single code from a forum. Five came through within an hour or two, which I redeemed immediately, and I'm waiting on the other six (my card has been charged for all of them). I've made two calls to MS. The first one gave me a nonsense reason, and the second one said that within 72 hours (due to the volume of codes issued) I would either receive my codes or a refund. I still don't understand how companies can simply pull out of a transaction that has gone through. I'm assuming that somewhere in the volumes of fine print that we checkbox without reading, it gives MS the right to cancel a deal at any point in time for any reason they want.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I signed up as soon as it was announced and I got a code in my email for $10 off an item $10 or higher. I tried to buy a 1200 and then a 1600 point card. When I entered in the coupon offer from my email, I received a message that there was an issue with the coupon and I had to call customer service. I wonder if they expired them all outright because of the rampant misuse of the coupon by the CAG trolls and others that abused it.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

There was one coupon for the Xbox One release, and then another one over the weekend.

I used the one for the Xbox release on Tuesday. Received an order confirmation that same night. I'm still waiting for my code. And of course I'm already charged $4.99

I only used it once, I didn't try the weekend coupon.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I missed the weekend coupon/did not know about it.

The coupon I had issues with was the one I got for signing up at the Microsoft Store site for pre-order notification about the XBox One.

Finally, the sale you've all been waiting for!!!! Aliens: Colonial Marines for PC $16.99 on gamefly: http://www.gamefly.com/Download-Alie...ines/5004844/? Redeems on Steam. Just think, this is the one platform it may end up half-way decent if the modders can salvage it.

No way it ever hits a Humble Bundle, they have standards.

It'll maybe show up in a Indie Gala or BundleStars bundle though. Although this is a Sega game, so maybe it'll only go crazy cheap on Steam or Amazon.

No interest in that game, but if it shows up in an indie bundle with 4 other games I don't want for $5 I'll end up buying it.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Man It won't give me new code.

Anyway guess Im screwed only 600 left or so. But for that M$ points deal the other day , even though they said they were canceling orders, they are today sending out codes that were ordered to nearly everyone, going in order of date. They are up to the 26th on orders so be looking for your codes in email.

If you enter it and it says invalid they have likely locked your account the other day you have to call and get it unlocked.

I'll bet either that or a redesign (with a better battery life or something)
