Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk
The game I played the most was Creeps.
|
Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk
Thanks for recommendations Trevor, Davidh, and BaronofHell, I downloaded Creeps lite & Ragdoll blaster lite for trial and Minigore looks fun.
|
Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk
I can't recommend Sword & Poker 1 and 2 enough. Great games and highly addicting.
|
Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk
Cut the Rope is also a newer great game.
edit: My favorite game so far thought has been Surviving High School. I think I have bought like 12$ worth of DLC for that one. Tiger Woods Golf is also pretty fun but a battery killer. |
Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk
Agree with Sword & Poker, but I'll add a bunch that haven't been mentioned that I got a ton of playtime out of:
Peggle Montezuma 1 & 2 - match type game Luxor - marble shooter Stoneloops! of Jurassica - marble shooter Critter Crunch Boggle Yahtzee Adventure iFarkle Bookworm DoodleJump Super 7 BrickBreaker Deluxe 2 - marble/paddle arkenoid type game Pac-Man: Championship - some have complaints about controls, but I had no problem adjusting to them And lastly, I just finished Mirror's Edge the other day and LOVED it. It's probably overpriced though, so wait for a sale. If you enjoyed the $60 game you should have no problems enjoying this one. Speaking of though, every one of these have been either free or discounted at some point so don't buy a bunch right away, just keep your eyes peeled for a sale. As you can tell, I prefer quick, pick-up-and-play type games. :) |
Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk
Oh, almost forgot Game Dev Story... great fun, fast paced RPG kinda game.

Thanks. Just bought it, guaranteeing that it goes free sometime soon.
Actually I'll probably pick it up too; been eyeing this one for a while. Thanks, Mok. |

For the Genesis fans that missed it the last time, Shining Force is .99 again.

Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk
Picked up PvZ and for those of you into sim games -- Game Dev Story is highly addicting.

Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk
Oh, YES!
http://www.joystiq.com/2010/11/02/th...rom-trilobyte/ http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.c...1/7thguest.jpg OK, so we don't have jet packs or the ability to vote through our DVRs (you did remember to vote, didn't you?) but at least you can say this of 2010: A game that once required CD-ROMs to work is now available on your iPhone. Or more specifically, spooky FMV gem The 7th Guest will be available this December on the iOS platform. We've put a trailer for you after the jump if you're completely in the dark (i.e. younger than 25). Oh, oh, but we haven't told you the best part! Guess who's bringing the game to market? None other than a reformed Trilobyte Games, the original house behind not only The 7th Guest but other oddballs like The 11th Hour and (at least in part) the supremely odd Tender Loving Care (starring John Hurt). Can you believe it? ... C'mon, where all my FMV nerds at? ... Anybody? |
Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk
Loved The 7th Guest. Hope they release 11th Hour too, because I never got around to it back in the day.
|
Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk
Great news! My wife and I played through both 7th Guest and 11th Hour back many years ago; we actually tried to find the old CD's a year or so ago to replay them but had no luck.
|
Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk
nice, i can't get the discs working on the new operating systems. Need 11th hour, so I hope this does well.
|
Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk
Wow... excellent news about 7th Guest.
I noticed that BrainDead 13 is also out on ios (not that B13 is a great game, just a novelty) so maybe we'll see more mid-90s computer games come out. Crusader... Phantasmagoria... |
Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk
Command & Conquer: Red Alert is $0.99.

Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk
100 Rogues dropped from 5$ to a buck today. It has great reviews and appears to be a really polished roguelike game so I picked it up.
|
Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk
It's actually renowned for being a complete bug fest. Having said that, it's now 8 or 9 versions in so I figured I'd give it a shot. But, if you browse around you can see posts from a lot of pissed off people, stuff like losing their saves etc.

Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk
What's a rogue game?
