Too lazy to count but I think more of the matchups are going to be really close.

Yep, and Schloob, Music & RockMJ just started making me nervous about my matchup.

I think every match, for the most part, is close.

I still cannot believe that I am going to lose this round.

8. The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (DS)
9. F-Zero (SNES)
10. Bomberman '93 (Turbografx-16)
Groucho has some solid early picks but gets destroyed late in the game by Zelda, F-Zero, and Bomberman. It doesn't help that Samba de Amigo is the only game where I've snapped the disc in half after playing it.

7. Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island (SNES)
8. Sonic the Hedgehog (Genesis)
9. Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)
10. Loco Roco (PSP)
Vryce has one of the strongest lists in this contest. This decision is easy.

Out of the two lists, jdpatri has the slight edge, although I've only played half of the games on their lists.

7. Panzer Dragoon Saga (Sega Saturn)
8. God of War 2 (PS2)
9. Tetris Attack (SNES)

A very, very tight list. Jeremy's may have more highly regarded games but I've played Halo 2 and Rock Band a hell of a lot more than Ocarina of Time.

He did say that he would be a bit late tallying the votes.

But, according to his rules, Bus's post was the last official vote. The deadline to vote by was the timestamp of his first post which was 2:36pm est, I believe.

Someone felt sorry for you, by my count you won by one vote

Looks like the voting turnout for this one was a lot smaller than the last one

If my count is right 25 voted in round 2 vs. 31 in round 1. Only 6 fewer.

As I read through the thread, I was surprised by how many people seemed to vote for Michael solely on the strength of Rock Band 2, but did not vote for me. Was Rock Band 2 really that much better than Rock Band?

Yes.

You can practically forget about RB1 if you import all the songs. RB2 has the best interface, of all musical games, the best controllers (of the two RB games), and like I said if you rent/borrow RB1 and just import the songs you can say that you don't need to play RB1.

Not a fan of musical games so it wasn't a factor for me.

Well, checking the final four, at least for me, it seems there's a clear favorite.
Again, I think at least a couple of losers from the first round would be better, or were my favorites. But considering the ones left, Michael Corvin only a disaster will stop you from winning.

I am very surprised DVDChris was eliminated. I figured he would be in the final two, if not the winner. I mean, how did this list go wrong? It's a bit Nintendo heavy (same count as cruz's Playstation list) but I figured with the average age of the group more of us have a higher level of nostalgia for it than a largely PS heavy list.

1. Legend of Zelda Link to the Past (SNES)
2. Super Mario Bros (NES)
3. Halo 3 (xbox 360)
4. Mike Tyson's Punch Out (NES)
5. Kingdom Hearts 2 (PS2)
6. Mega Man X (SNES)
7. Animal Crossing (GC)
8. Guitar Hero III (xbox 360)
9. Tetris DS (DS)
10.Wii Sports (Wii)
After surveying the landscape, I think Jeremy will be the one to beat.

I'm surprised DVDChris lost too. He's one of the people I'd voted over you in this round. He had a really good list, Halo 3 alone should have given him a lot of votes.

It's all about Mutant League Football.

And this is just a guess, but there must be more people out there, like me, who just don't fall in line with the Halo love. Because of the overwhelming popularity of the game, those that are just 'eh' about it could turn their indifference into a vote against.

Indeed. It baffles me how people love Halo so much.

Wow, what a close matchup. I'm a little bummed I lost. I thought OrangeCrush had a strong list too, but maybe everyone else has different tastes than the two of us.
