You may do better in your next match up. I still think your list is pretty solid (although I am a big RPG fan).

8. Sonic the Hedgehog (Genesis)
9. Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)
10. Loco Roco (PSP)
Lot of great games on this list, starting off with one of the best shooters this generation, a classic RPG, and, wait. Oh. Final Fantasy. Alright, let's move on.

Ico... I've never played. But I did play Shadow of the Colossus and liked it, although never beat it. The Resistance demo I thought was awful.

And... Super Mario World 2? My favorite Mario game ever and the game that I think has the best art direction out of any video game.

Sonic's great, and Animal Crossing and Loco Roco are just OK. I actually preferred the PS3 version of the latter.

A strong list, only slightly hampered.

9. Etrian Odyssey (DS)
10. Dragon Warrior (NES)
Yikes. A lot of games I haven't played on this list: Gears, FF1, Pikmin, MGS2, R&C:GC, Etrian Odyssey, and Dragon Warrior. I've really only played Bioshock, Kotor, and Puzzle Quest. But each of them is incredibly addictive.

And while I've never played Going Commando, I really really liked Ratchet & Clank Future.

Super Mario 64 is, I think, one of the most overrated platformers of all time. It's great, no doubt, but I just didn't see the revolution in it. It had a wonky camera a lot of times and it just wasn't as fun as previous or later installments.

Tetris is a great game, although I'm surprised you didn't pick the DS version. I respect what I assume is your Tengen pick.

GTAIII is a game that's both historically important and also fun to play. I'm not sure how it holds up today but I would not mind revisiting it.

Kingdom Hearts, Psychonauts, and Forza 2 I've never played, although I know they are held in high regard.

Zelda: Twilight Princess is my least favorite of the Zeldas. I got it for the Wii and gave up sometime after you meet the Princess. It was just very drab and not fun. Now, the DS version on the other hand...

The next three games I've never played although I have Half Life 2 for the PC and the 360. Resistance 2 seems fun but not worth $60 and Resident Evil is not my cup of tea at all.

10. Call of Duty : World At War (PS3)
Alright. Right off the bat, I've never played any of your first four picks. And, come to think of it, I haven't played 7, 8,9 or 10 either. Perfect Dark, however, was my most played game late in the 64's generation and Burnout: Takedown is incredible and addictive.

9. Red Faction (PS2)
10. Donkey Kong 64 (N64)
Halo's great and I the first time I ever played it is still one of my most vivid/awesome video game memories. It was in the larger snow/ice stage and a friend of mine was trying to run me over with the Warthog. I let him chase me, drop a grenade, and jump over one of the rocks. The grenade hits the Warthog and it flips & spins over me while I'm crouched. I was looking up, however, so it looked like a crazy scene from a Michael Bay movie. That said, Halo is the weakest in all the series.

GTA:VC was the 2nd GTA game I played and I got further into it than GTAIII. I just enjoyed it much more.

SSB is not a game I enjoyed. And Street Fighter? Why just Street Fighter? Why not the Turbo or Super edition?

L4D is a pick you took, but a game I've never played.

Crackdown, along with Condemned: Criminal Origins, are two of the gems in the 360 lineup. I don't think I could get tired of Crackdown.

Lumines is one of my favorite of the new generation of puzzle games.

Red Faction I've never played and DK64 was kind of disappointing.

7. Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse (NES)
8. Crystalis (NES)
9. Advance Wars: Dual Strike (DS)
10.Mutant League Football (Genesis)
Oooh. Right off the bat, a nice list. The first two titles are classics, even if Goldeneye has aged terribly. LBP was a good pick. I've never played more than a couple of races of Gran Turismo and it's too much of a sim for me. I'd rather just drive for real, although I don't own a Ruf.

MKII was ok, but it's one of my least favorite fighting series.

Katamari Damacy was one of the very few games I bought for my PS2. It didn't disappoint.

Advance Wars: Dual Strike I thought was an awesome game. The other games I've never played.

I am not sure we can use the word "cool" to describe anything we are doing right now.

Will you re-arrange the brackets?

That is, the matches would be:

1 vs. 8
2 vs. 7
3 vs. 6
4 vs. 5

Etc?

I'd also say once the brackets are established, before voting, give us all about a day to fill in our brackets so we can predict the winners.

I am not sure how I decide who is #1, #2, etc. I don't think we can say the most votes = #1. I mean, anyone would dominate spainlinx's list

I am inclided to do another hat pull for the next round and then treat them like a true bracket. However, I may pair the worst losers so that at least 1 of them can win mid-major style.

I had discussed this with someone prior to the voting. I don't really want to do that so as to avoid having people's votes affected by their brackets. As I typed that last sentence, I realized that I am taking this way too seriously.

I vote for keeping the hat, so that every matchup is random. I still prefer post count because we can all see that we were matched up correctly. No offense of course to you orange you are doing a great job but you have to admit it would be easy to pit yourself against someone who you think you will win against and we'd all be none the wiser.

Hasn't worked out too well for me this round...er, I mean, random selection is good.

Shh! He didn't chose spainlinx0 this time, so let's keep it the same.

Now, I think every round will be different. Yeah, right now Michael Corvin is having an easy win, but that doesn't mean that he will have the automatic win next round.

Actually, I'd like to see a matchup between orangecrush (if he wins) against MC (sorry spainlinx0). Both took almost the same approach, so it'd be an interesting matchup.

We could make it automatic wild card bids to the final.

If you really want to stretch this out, we could do like 6 or 7 rounds of random matchups, then take the top 8 recods and throw them into a 3-round single-elimnation tournament.

DVDChris vs. Fandango
Michael Corvin vs. Spainlinx0
edstein vs. Groucho
The Bus vs. Jeremy517
Lordwow vs. Orangecrush18
Vryce vs. JasonF
Mattysemo247 vs. cruzness
Raul3 vs. jdpatri

Spoiler:

DVDChris vs. Fandango - Love both you guys 1st 6 picks awesome stuff. I had to go with Fandango because DVDChris had to tack on Wii Sports -

Michael Corvin vs. Spainlinx0 - Corvin had overall stronger titles Even though I loved Spainlinx pick 3-5

edstein vs. Groucho - Both you guys had lots of picks on my list ( which contributed to my lack of Nintendo and Sega games) the deciding factor came down to Samba de Amigo ( not for me) vs. NHL 93 and Tony Hawk 2. (there were far better games in both series on the same consoles) which was why Groucho wins

The Bus vs. Jeremy517 - Tough match. Bus had only one weak pick - Garou - but that was because I had not played it. all his other picks were fantastic. Jeremy - I hated the impossible frustrating toughness that was Battletoads

Lordwow vs. Orangecrush18 - Not a fan of Smash Brothers series and Sonic CD seemed tacked on. Had to give it to Lordwow though even though I thought NFL2K 05 was way overated

Vryce vs. JasonF - Tough matchup Had to give it to JasonF since his list had more games that were on my own short list.

Mattysemo247 vs. cruzness - Mattysemo brought the heat as his list has many games I enjoyed but I like my list better.

Raul3 vs. jdpatri - I've played more games on jdpatri's list and that 10th pick - Mutant League Football is inspired - brought back memories of great fun with my little brother.

I think most sane people do not want to see this stretched out to 2 months of voting.
