Yeah they were complaining on the last Rebel FM podcast about the twitter stuff, sounds like they are working towards a solution.

You don't really need to play the first Uncharted before jumping into this one, do you?
I am thinking about making this one of my TRU buys during the B2G1.

Makes sense. They're probably doing it the way such previous adventures are handled in a Clive Cussler or James Rollins novel. They make a passing reference to a previous adventure that is a wink to previous readers and makes new readers curious about the events of the previous book. It also keeps the current adventure accessible to newcomers.
Sweet. Glad you're having so much fun. Did you try loading your trophies from the first game? If so, what did that unlock?

Re: Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
The only real benefit of having played the first one is that you will earn some extra money upon starting UC2, if you have a saved game from UC1. If you beat UC1, you get even more money.

That's why I had cash. I didn't see a notification on that, perhaps it's in the manual.

Cool. I was worried about Trophies, since I played the game before Trophy integration patch and would have been might pissed if I was somehow penalized for beating and selling the game before that stupid trophy patch got put in.
Any Reward Zone member : You can go to Best Buy and preorder this game, give them your RZ number and pick up the preorder box. You get a code for two gold-plated guns in MP and $5 off any other game and it rings up $0.00. Not bad, even if I don't play the MP much at all.

Here's the quote (Page 50, Nov. 2009):
If you even booted [UC1] up you'll earn $20,000 for your wallet, and if it detects you finished the original (on any difficulty) you'll get another $100,000.

I like loyalty bonuses. I'm sure a bunch of other games have done it, but the only one that comes to mind is Ratchet and Clank.

And it's even nicer when it's a great game series that's doing a loyalty bonus. I really don't give two shits if I get a loyalty bonus for Blinx to Blinx 2.

Re: Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
Agreed...and of course, I felt that way about R&C as well.
I can't believe I preordered this game. I've only preordered twice ever, and both have been in the last couple of months. Still, $45 isn't too bad, and if it's anything like the first game, I'll play through it at least 3-4 times.
For those who didn't play the first game who plan to pick this up, you are truly missing out. For $30, you'd be crazy not to pick it up and give it a run before buying this one.

Re: Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
I played the first 2 levels at my friend house last night, he works for Sony and they gave it to him last week. I have yet to play the first one, but now REALLY want to so that I can play more or UC2...it's a really well done game!

I love how the first couple levels play out.
I also love all the scripted action in the title - it's very cinematic, and not just in terms of cut scenes, but in terms of pacing, voice work.

If you even sort of liked the first one, this one is a no brainer. It's stunning in its presentation. PLaying a movie is a perfect description - I actually want to make my fiance sit down and watch me play to see what she thinks - but as a player, I get immersed in the game so quickly. No load times really help out
