There was the blurb today that I posted over in the RB thread. pinata mentioned that this game should have its own thread, as it is not Rock Band, and GH:Aerosmith and GH:Metallica have their own threads.
I was against it, as I feel that they're going to be very closely related. I will be extremely surprised if there is not an "export" option available, unless that is something explicitly barred in their contract.
To make a long story short, pinata said he'd start the thread if I didn't, and I like to keep a tight rein on all things Harmonix-related, so here we are.

The 2nd one. I just don't see this happening. Again, I don't know anything but I am of little faith.

With all of the people on board, I just don't see this one dropping off the charts. Barring some kind of licensing issue from out of nowhere, this will get released next year.

Just wanted to throw this interview with Harmonix's co-founder and CEO that goes into how the deal came about in the last few minutes (specifically the 13:25 mark). You know, for posterity.

will anybody else be pissed if you can't export these songs into Rock Band? I understand having a seperate game, but allow me to add it to my songlist.

I would love to have them in the main library, obviously, but I certainly won't boycott the project if not.

I'm not boycotting it either, believe me. I would just love to be able to make setlist with Beatles songs and other bands.
