I only play Hardcore. However there has been a ton of care package glitchers recently. It's quite annoying and I wish Infinity Ward would grow some balls and do something about it. With that said, I'm sure that when a patch finally comes, it will only offer up a brand new exploit.

Why?
It's more realistic - one shot one kill, no matter what load out (perk 2 is wide open!). You don't have a location meter, so one has to proceed more cautiously - instead, you have to judge enemy locations by sound (surround sound does help significantly). There is no kill cam, which is an automatic position give away (the novelty of that feature got old quick). And lastly, aside from a few 10 year old team killers, most people take Hardcore seriously, as expressed often here, and actually play the game by design - as opposed to exploiters. At least that's been my experience.
HC is harder at first, but once one makes the adjustments it's more rewarding. And I think that unless you run into an experienced coordinated team the games are much more balanced than TDM, or Groundwar (another heavily exploited mod). Frankly, I don't see myself ever playing TDM or Groundwar ever again.

I like playing hardcore every once in a while. It's much different, and you can't just run around spray n' praying.

I can't go back to the BS that is regular TDM. Having to spend whole clips of ammo to put a person down even with stopping power.

These videos crack me up. Basically just a guy screwing with nuke boosters in FFA, but the Duke Nukem sound bites put them over the top for teh funny. NSFW language:

I think I'm done with this game for a while. The care package glitch still isn't fixed and it's just out of control now. IW really dropped the ball this time. I'll probably trade it in and put it towards Bioshock 2 or Mass Effect 2.

I kind of agree. Of course the care package glitch patch hasn't hit for us 360 folks yet.

I asked awhile back and got no response, but I'll try again. Can anyone help me beat the Co-op missions? I'm on 360. I'm not bad, my Kill to Death ratio on MP is .95 (at least I don't think that's bad haha).

Finally played some MW2 last night after many weeks of avoiding it.
Didn't run into any glitches, but came across one set of boosters.
I like booster hunting.

I would like some help in beating the co op spec ops on veteran as well.
my kd ratio on mp is about 1.3 and I have already done half of the spec ops on veteran.

I wouldn't have bought this game if it weren't for the hardcore modes. The standard multiplayer is way too arcade-like for me. Never play them once I unlock hardcore. I prefer it because it's closer to military simulation games. No always on radar, no kill cam, more realistic damage. It's more challenging, involving, and immersive.
The only thing I don't like is the counterstrike style players who throw on marathon pro and run around with mini pistols and uzis. I prefer slower, more methodical gameplay.

I think that glitch may have hit 360. I was playing with some friends last night and 3-4 games in a row boxes were just falling from the sky and there were 5-10 planes. I managed to pick up a crate with a Pavlow, but received a "Air Space Full" message.

So I was playing some hardcore team MP the other day, on PS3, and someone flew. They were hovering about 100 feet in the air picking people off. It was on the snow map... (not sub base, the other one... derail maybe?). Anyone else come across that yet?

There's nothing more frustrating than getting a legit kill-streak and finding that you can't call in it in due to the number of care package glitchers. The other day I tried to call in an AC130 (I believe I was using harrier, AC, nuke) and I had to wait probably about 3 minutes before I could call it in. By that time, the match was almost over.

I've come across it on Derail and Karachi. The Karachi one is so stupid tho. Some fool put a TI there and I was sniping him with a mini uzi from across the map. The Derail one is a bit harder to see.

I haven't played this online more than 1 time since my son was born three months ago and it seems like with the numerous glitches and problems I picked a fine time to be away from it. I miss playing but don't miss the hassle of dealing with a-holes.

I ran into my first (noticeable, at least) care package glitcher last night. It was pretty ridiculous. He was on my team, so we won, but I reported him. That's about all that can be done on our end, isn't it?
